I am thinking about removing my cat and I was wondering wut you guys would use.. I was thinking about using a test pipe but I would probably be going to my local exhaust shop and grabbing me a section of 2 1/4 inch pipe and putting that on....so yeah I was also wondering how much more will I be smoking out of the exhuast....I think my valve seals are gone but I dont know...I mean it just puffs out a little smoke at take off so wut do you guys think....

Buying a pipe from the muffler shop will work. Or if you are really cheap like me, you can hollow out the one you got. It took about 1.5 hrs with a hammer and breaker bar to pound out all the bricks inside. I haven't had the chance to try it out yet though...
I think your exhaust will not smoke anymore than it did before. The cat does not help get rid of the smoke your engine is putting out. More likely it will get clogged by the oil getting burned, eventually.

i heard that hollowing out the cat desturbs the smoooth flow and creates more of a restriction. You should use normal pipe or put a straight piece of pipe tru your cat so it looks like you have one but dont.

i gutted my cat and then ran pipe right through it. a gutted cat alone sounds buzzy for some reason. its like a test pipe but looks like there is a cat there (for state inspection and emissions.....yeah, our emissions is a visual check).
