Well, since late March I have spent about $1600 in lots of different parts.. I don't want to write it up, I have my list
HERE.

Before that, I had spent about $450 on rims, about $90 on my short shifter, $200 on other tires.. and all the misc stuff that probably adds up to around $400.

So put it all togehter, with the purchase price of the car itself.. and that's $5670

Better than buying even the cheapest of new cars, and it has been reliable as hell. Lets put it this way. I've had the car for a little over 3 years. Bought with 79,000 miles, now 117,000.. driven to Indiana from Cali, from Indiana to DC about 15 times (there and back .. over 1000 miles). And it's left me stranded once.

Maybe this should go in the "why I love my car" post biggrin.gif

I never said what I paid for the car. I found her down the street from me sitting all alone on a hilltop with a fresh paintjob(no clear coat still dry.gif )new clutch, cv boots etc. and a K9 alarm with automatic locks. He wanted $2500 for it but I got it for $2000. Didn't think I could do a thing with it until I ran across this place:D

It scares me to even fathum (sp?) what i've spent on my cars. The boosted_zc 91 hatch has probably 7 g's in it, maybe more, i'm scared to add it up. The CRX has only a few hundred in it, wait scratch that, i forgot about the Mikuni's i bought for it. But that total's gonna go up too because i'm gooing to go look at a ZC tomorrow for the CRX. And what's really scary is i have a truck too, lets just not go there.
If it has an engine....i will tear it apart.

less than $1300 counting buying the car, registering it, plates, and setting the B18B1 in it. about $300 more and it will be complete. its gotta be the cheapest B series ever built. i guess i came across the right car, and parts at the right time.

then the suspension will start.

It is a race car but over $25K and I did most of the work. There is not enough space to put what I have done.  You name I probable have it.

I bought my car already done and raced in SCCA ITA. He did the hard, expensive part putting the racecar together, I just wrote a check for $4000. I've put maybe $150 total into it this season.
