do you think its this SPAL fan?

is it 16", it looks just like this one on their website.

Spal 16 inch High Output "PULL" Fan. This fan has the highest output of any Spal 16 inch fan. This fan is not thin or compact, but it has been specially designed for maximum performance in a long life water resistant fan assembly. This fan has specially designed curved fan blades which increase airflow while reducing fan noise. Don't let the specs fool you, the specially designed blades on this fan allow it to pull a greater volume of air through a 3 row radiator than most other fans. Most fans are designed for optimum performance with single row radiators. This fan works when it counts!
This fan has 4 mounting tabs molded into the shroud, plus it has 4 mounting slots which can accept the optional, standard spal mounting brackets if desired. Mounting brackets are sold in 4 piece sets and can be chosen from the options list above if desired. Bracket kits are available at discounted price only when purchased with a Spal Fan. Caution! This fan draws 40 amps when it is pulling at it's maximum. This fan must be wired up using the FRH-HO-SW relay and harness or equivalent. The FRH-HO-SW comes with a Heavy duty relay, 195 degree temperature switch, 60 amp fuse, wiring connector for the fan and a complete fan motor to battery wiring harness. If you will be building your own harness and relay setup the fan motor pigtail can be ordered seperately. More information on ordering fans, brackets and fan controllers can be found on the Spal Fan Information Page. This page opens in a new window and can be closed when you are finished.

Click on Fan Specifications button to view the technical specifications for this fan. Note: It has come to our attention that the airflow and current specs for this fan are inncorrect. This fan moves over 3000 CFM and draws 40 amps with free flow and 45 amps under full load. Fan Specs open in a new window and require "Adobe Acrobat Reader 7.0.5" or later to view.

what brackets come with this kit? it looks like there are a ton to choose from on their website? and can i buy this through marcus or do i have to buy it from these people's website? it looks like it should pull twice the CFM of our stock fans.

here is my dilemma: i have a dual core radiator for a del sol already. its already in the car. but i want a better fan to pull more air through the radiator, since i have a/c and when the car is sitting still i want to make sure the radiator stays cool. so what mounts would i need?

anyway thanks for the info, this fan looks to be the best possible fan i have seen for a radiator. i just need to know that this is the exact one that is with these kits. i like how the fan is protected, unlike all of those you see on summitt racing or anything like that where the rear of the fan is wide open. i would worry that because our cars are so compact that a wire or a rock or something could fly up in there and wreck things.

i'm guessing this one is not as deep as our stock fan as well, leaving more room in the engine bay for the motor as well. anyone have a comparison of this fan vs our stock radiator fan??

lots of questions i know, but hopefully someone has answers!

thanks

actually i read more and it said to use this 16" one as a daily driver

Q. The 30102113 16 inch race fan has one of the highest CFM ratings of any of your single fans. Would this be the best fan to use on my daily driven car?

A. We do not recommend the 30102113 fan for daily driven vehicles. This fan was designed for circle track cars or drag race cars where maximum performance vs. weight is more important than long term reliability. This fan does not have a sealed long life motor. It is susceptible to water, dust and other environmental issues like high ambient temperatures and high humidity. Look at a fan like the 30102082, it provides a higher level of cooling in most applications and it has a long life water resistant motor.

so i'm guessing marcus used this fan instead of that other one i put a link to

k i measured the stock fan last night for our radiators.

the metal housing (square) is only a little bit more than 12". so there is no way that you could put a fan that was larger than 12" in our cars. it would not work. so my first guess is wrong for sure. no way its a 16" fan.

its probably this fan, the 12"

Pretty sure I'll be getting in on this run Marcus, especially after seeing them in person at your place. Very impressive stuff there.

Well after placing an order and patiently waiting for my radiator to be made I finally got to put it in this past week. The top bracket needed to be massaged a little bit to work with the radiator otherwise the fit was good. I also had to go pick up a Stant radiator cap. The car had absolutly no cooling issues and went no higher then 210 degrees after coming off track during a black flag all. The stock fan does not mount to the fittings that are on the radiator. I tried two different ones and neither worked. On track due the speeds we were hitting on Sunday on the speedway section at Pocono the temps were dropping below 180 for a short portion of the track, I guess it would be safe to put a thermostat back in again.

Great product!!
