#426748 Wtb In Ct For A B20b Swap, Teg Hubs And Brakes Aphb, Torsion.

Posted by '85-SI on 04 February 2009 - 07:33 PM in WTB

QUOTE (Airjockie @ Jan 31 2009, 06:32 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
OK, so I seamed to have snagged a car from a buddy that needed money to move. I probably paid too much, but I guess it will work. Anyways...

I will need:

86-89 teg front hubs and brakes, hell, might as well toss on the rears as well....who's got some?

A torsion bar set... I might just get the Upgrade Motoring 29mm one, unless someone has something.

I'll need a sweet adjustable pan-hard bar.

camber plates.

and I'll add more to the list when I decide what else I want...

I've got a copmplete rear brake set, disks, calipers brackets, hoses...just don't have the teg hub bolts that you will need...i've also got stock torsions if you want em...lemme know if you want any of this???

#411147 Window/door Mouldings?

Posted by '85-SI on 08 October 2008 - 10:10 PM in WTB

Does anyone have a source where i can actually get new door/ window moldings? You know the ones on the top of the door that seals the outside of the window, that the rubber comes off and they rust and look like garbage? I can't find em' anywhere. Thanks.

Yeah, the old crack off and paint method was my next option... I suppose I will go that route. Some nice new ones with actual rubber still on them would be nice, but we can't always get everything we want!! Thanks guys!

#414915 Shock Length Comparison

Posted by '85-SI on 06 November 2008 - 07:51 PM in 1G CRX

Does anyon have any measurements in regards to shock overall length? I know that some are shorter than others. I know that dropping the strut down is an option for the front as is adj upper plates, but I like to ride real low, the the shorter the better in my eyes, thanks!!!

#415117 Shock Length Comparison

Well so far nobody has even attempted to answer the real question. I don't really need suggestions on wheels or ride heights right now, but shock length is a concern. 4 inches of travel is enough with a stiff shock, torsions and springs. I have a truck on air that I drive 4 inches off th ground all day long, I understand the idea behind what I get with a shorter shock. I would appreciate if someone would actually try to help me with my question, thanks

Yeah I think I'm going to drop the front strut in the knuckle and then do the camber plates, that ought to give me a little more travel at my height.

#428284 Rear Disk Brake Swap...

Posted by '85-SI on 16 February 2009 - 01:39 PM in FS

I've got a near complete disk brake swap for the 1g. Calipers, rotors, backplates, hoses, teg proportioniong valve, and all the hardware except for the backing plate studs (integra's are a little longer, and you need em). No trailing arms or hubs, use your existing. Make me an offer and if the price is right I can probably swing by the junkyard and snatch up the studs? Your call.

Edit: parts are in san diego, CA. Prefer local since shipping would be pricey.

i'm gonna remove the brakes all together and just stop with downshifting... plus it's a huge weight saving maneuver. smile.gif

#425804 Lowering My Si

Posted by '85-SI on 28 January 2009 - 05:21 PM in 1G CRX

I would say that it kinda depends on the wheels. I'm on 13s with 185/60x13s and I have no issues at any height. Although you might end up needing to roll the drivers rear fender lip. I did and I drive pretty hard, no issues. Let's see if others agree though, this is my first 1G!

I have no abnormal tire wear or anything such! Its really not tat much and if you don't rub, I would e to concerned about it. My car drives the same, granted I only use about an inch or so of suspension... I think you will be just fine.
