i assume you guys are talking about the 1.5 sohc si (usdm/cdm) cause im sure the jdm si (1600 dohc zc) would be a bit faster like in the 15's, but i have no idea as i havent taken mine down the 1/4 mile yet.

no stock 3g civcs arent faster than 1g rex's. my 87 crxsi ran a 15.7@ 86 mph b4 i did any mods to it, and when i bought it sum1 had put 1 3/4" catback exhaust on it, so it was slightly restricted. just my .02

Hey, that's the exact ET and MPH I ran in my stock 86 CRX Si. Mine had a 2" exhaust, but otherwise stock. I eventually added a header and cone filter but never took it to the strip after that.

The stock numbers for a CRX Si are 16.7.

No way in hell did you guys shave a second with just a 2" exhaust.

might be possible on slicks.
But there is no way you ran a 15.7 on street tires with a stock drivetrain and full interior.

So a 15.7 is definitely a no, either person who said that how do you claim those times???? Slicks, gutted car how?? I'm going to the local 1/4 mile in may with my Si (high flow cat, 2" catback exhaust with magnaflow, and my punk 17yr old friend who's into muscle cars says I won't run anything faster than a 16.8 dry.gif

Took my '85 CRX Si to the strip for the 1st time.
16.79 @ 80

I have an '87 Civic Si, and when I bought it, it still had 16.75 on the window in shoe polish, so I'm guessing the kid had dragged it previously.
