Shitty deal man. You should just go out and buy some of those motion sensor flood lights and replace the flood light with like a...headlight (highbeam on) or some other halogen lamp so if someone is dinkin around with it they blind him and hopefully deture him. you could probably hook up a camera to start filming when the sensor goes off as well (might take a little ingenious wiring).

as for the wiring harness...screw it. Its better to just re-wire it. Replace that factory 'headphone' wire with some actual speaker wire (nothing more than 14ga). Its not too difficult to rewire and its time well spent.

Damn dude, i hope that or those thieves get their asses caught. If i was in your neighborhood, i'd be fookin paranoid and be sleepin out in my car

ok maayabe in sayingth ewrong thing if you look in th earea the radio gose there is a langth of wire tha thas all you need for the radio formthe fuse box. then it splits to the heater contols and motor well its riped righ tback to the split so to start wireing in a new one is going to be a SOB to do its doable but a pain.

the motion stuff dont work, learned that the first time.

camera might work i have some i can do that and i have all th estuff to do it and 400 vcrs to tape it.smile.gif i am buged what i hate my cars have been hit 4 times now and my moms cavalier never.
mind you a cav is a newer shit box but come on im going to make a sign to post out by my gerage saying " I HAVE NO MORE STERIEOS YOU STOLE THEM ALL"

Haha.. At least you still have your sense of humor.. There isn't much you can really do except get a decent alarm to scare them a bit.. Problem is, if they really want to get in, they will.. A self powered siren is a good thing to buy with the alarm.. There was a post on the CRX resource about some door pins that lock the doors shut so they won't open.. They are controlled by the alarm system.. An interesting idea.. ph34r.gif

I had an nightmare last night because of this ph34r.gif I was at a car meet in a bad area and I went to look at the cars, lots of cool rides and saw a big 4wd school bus do a burnout. When I return to my car the whole interiors gone including the steering wheel and all thats left is shreded carpet and a portable drill. And to top it off the front end of my car looks like someone drove over it with a bulldozer
blink.gif lets just say I was damn glad when I woke up. TT

Cheap, Reliable, and Fast.
Now the down side. You only get to pick 2...

Shave the door handles and have a remote door opener?

Do they make a senser that goes off when, say a window breaks? If they go put oine on EVERY window.
I have nothing...

Just a (late) thought--some areas allow you to register serialized items with the local PD (high theft items like stereo equipment). Though it won't prevent another break in by itself, it will make it harder for the thieves to sell or trade stolen equipment and if you have a picture as well, it's proof positive that it was in your car...

heh, I've been pretty lucky, I haven't had anything stolen recently

my cutlass was broken into a few years back, but all they did was break a window, and busted the column, but they didn't know how to get it started, they took my remote for my stereo, and that's it

my cavalier has over 2g in stereo equipment in it, and nobody looks twice at it, tho, when I had the enkei 17's on it, I was coming home from work in my rex at 2am and saw a bunch of kids kneeling by the wheels of my cavi, I hit the high beams, aimed at them and punched it (heh, with my paceshitter exhaust, the cops did show up, neighbors called them) and I never saw them again.....;P~
play me loud, just don't blow me
