(It's a short rant.) But, I am getting REALLY, REALLY tired of explaining why it is taking so long (3 months) to do a B16 swap into an '86 DX CRX. People think the '86 DX swap is the same as, say... a '91si B16 swap. "Hell, you should be able to do that swap in a weekend." Yeah right. Leave me alone!

well having done this on two cars..I'll say it's not the hardest thing in the world..but it's also not a lot of fun either....and if their comparing it to a b swap into a 2g...just tell them to sit and spin...because they're talking out their cornholes

Why would you wire it up for OBD2?? Some kind of emissions dealio?
I was lucky I decided to do the wiring for my car while the engine was on a stand. Allowed me to figure out what new wires had to be run, zip tie them to the existing wiring harness, and put the plug for it near the existing plug. Then I ran wires from the plug to the ECU, added a few pins, moved a few pins, and HOPEFULLY when I go to crank the car over, it won't blow up in my face

The reason for going to OBD2 im guessing is because he is using the B16A2 out of the 99 civic Si that is a SIR2 motor requiring OBD2 electronics. if not he is going insane.

Yeah, that's how I did my wiring also. I used '91 CRX si engine and interior harnesses. Had some friends over while I was trimming & thinning the harnesses. They said I'd NEVER get the car to run. Well, we'll see about that! The engine is in. The wiring is done. Just have to hook up all that other stuff. You know what I'm talking about... Hope to be driving this sucker next weekend.
