Very nice, but needs Mugens.

Give the guy your number and tell him to call you when he is ready to sell. At $1500 you are doing him a favor, its only worth $1000... probably less. Its not your fault he spent more on repairs than the fair market value of the car. There is nothing special about it, fair book for that car (actually if it were newer like an 87) in my state (North Eastern CA) with no rust is only like $1100.

cali prices mean crap in the northeast. that car is CLEAN. i'd buy it. 100%. in a heart beat, especially with all that work just done to it.
1986 Civic Si; b16a is in.. just gotta get it running..

Its mine, picking it up Tuesday when the banks open.

We took one last look at it today, but couldn't take money out of the bank since they closed at noon. We'll go get it Tuesday (banks are closed for Columbus Day). I lifted up the carpet in the corners under the dash (the usual rust areas) and was pleasantly surprised at the lack of rust. ohmy.gif Passenger side has NONE, while the driver's side is minimal and will require VERY little work. Jack points look and feel solid. Wish my rex was this rust free when I got it. Can't wait to bring her home and teach Jeff how to take care of her. Gonna be fun.

SWEET! Congrats on the acquisition. You'll have fun now borrowing each others cars...
I put the FUN in dysfunctional!
Just tell her you are fixing it for someone and it is not yours and when they never show up to pick it up tell her you are keeping it for all of the work you put into it.

It is now parked in front of our house and we started cleaning it. I vaccumed it and my dad (Sarge) used Engine Brite on the engine bay. I'll post pictures when it's finished.
