I have civic 87 DX (Carburator) and i want more power on it... what can i do? i don't have too much money!

Devac the carb, Lighten the springs in the distributor, and advance the timing.

Do a full general maintenance checkup and replace those items.

Make your own air breather. To allow more airflow in the carburetor

Well no more power but nicer running if you DE-vac the car. I have access to a weber 32/36 that was rebuilt about 3 yeaqrs ago and has been sitting in a garage. Didnt realize it until I bought a new 32/36 install kit from www.carburetion.com. i would not have bought the weber if I had done the devac first. The weber is nice but dont know if it was worth the money but then again I dont have it dialed in yet.

get an Si head from the wreckers (nice and Cheap) that will bolt right up you just will need to run the dx (ew2) cam or an external fuel pump ( go option a if you dont want to spend the money )
Even tho its pricey a full exhaust system and headers are well worth and unlock alot of power
also a shopping list including trust, HKS and mugen will unlock a hidden 10kW well thats what i hear anyway
devac is good for a smoother running car but wont unlock any more ponies

I still looking for an SI heads in the wrekingyard but cant findem at least I can made some mods like open the secundarys and the timing locking thing and its run better actuali its more agresive in 1st and 2nd gear I nead more power for 3rd and 4th (EV1 engine)

What will be the HP and torque gain if you do this with a 1.3 carb?

I hav an EV1 engine in my little civic 1.3L and im just doing this mods to the intake and the carb we would see hou its works by now i have to ride my monguse free style byke to my jobe that means i just gona lost some pounds and thast less waight for my car thats a good one4"]
