Well i was getting on to the freeway yesterday(28-10-08) to go get lunch from work. I was making a lane change to the first lane of traffic, this being the slow lane, and was about 80% into the lane when the cars in front of me were slowing down, the CR-V that was in front of me slammed on their brakes and swerved a little bit (about a foot) into my lane where i proceeded to run into the back of them. insurance company says it is my fault due to the face that i was changing lanes and had the opportunity to stop.
here are the pictures
i am going to get another crx but i dont know how soon, this week, next, but i will keep you all updated
I didn't realize how much crashes took out of you,
no i am not hurt, other than my heart for my car.

Glad you didn't get hurt!
That looks like a very clean car. It would be a shame to scrap it.
But, if the frame is bent, you might as well buy it back from the insurance company, strip it clean and let it go.

Be glad you didnt get hurt, and you can salvage most (all?) of the parts from that car to the next.

it really doesn't look that bad, you could prob get it pulled and it would be good as new with a mr D CF one piece hood and a fender....

you couldn't have known this earlier but where the rail was smashed to was about 6" from where it was on the other side
the passenger door opens at an angle and is hard to close, and there seems to be more toe out than normal on that side
thanks for the encouragement i will try to fix it although i feel it to be unlikely

THAT'LL BUFF RIGHT OUT!!
J/K Glad to hear you're ok Justin. I hear 1g's aren't too hard to find though out there in Cali. I'd get a clean shell and transfer all the goodies.

God Damnit Justin! That car was getting good! And that was the fender we hung last year at the Weenie Roast. I had an emotional involvement with that fender.
The good news- You are OK. And you have a parts source for your next project.
Let me know if there is anything I can do to help.

Justin
so sorry to hear what happened
looks like were both looking for new cars
I think the boys are right you could fix it but it might also be easier just to find another.

So sad mate. That car look nice and clean. At least you can look local for another, in Australia I would hate to think how long to find another would take.
Hang in there, I am sure we will all keep our eyes out for a good one
