I PASSED biggrin.gif ! I only replaced most of the front vacuum hoses and none of the one's coming out of the rear of the carb, the car ran slightly better but I didn't think good enough to pass. I started out with just a pre-test($35) so I'd know where I needed to work and to have something to give to the DMV so I can get another temp registration. The car passed the pretest and only failed the fuel cap test so I purchased one from the smog guy($18 huh.gif )and went ahead with the official smog test($41+8.25 for cert) and passed. I'm so happy rolleyes.gif !

Wow, that's crazy. And I was annoyed my inspection/smog test costs $21. Cali is nuts.

Yea, if I didn't do the pre-test and my fuel cap was cool then it would've been only around $50, but that still not $21(we wish !).

Now I can go on to other things like a front bumper(mine was viscously attacked by a huge rabbit at 60 mph one night driving home, that left it hanging by 1 screw and the rest on the ground), front/rear shocks, the infamous header panel, and my black, blue, and white interior(don't ask!). I would also like to get matching rims. I have 2 17's in the rear and 2 13's in the front. I would like integra GSR's or the 2 matching 17's for the front.

I bought the car for $500 to use as a daily driver since I drive 1 hr to work and 1hr back. It had a bad wheelhub on the rightside and the seats were from a newer civic and were not bolted down. I've since replaced the wheelhub and drivers seat(yes I only have 1 seat in the car). I've been going thru the electrical somewhat and found a lot of burned wires and fixed some of them(I'm an Aircraft electrician) and replaced my turn signal switch.

I can go on about whats wrong with this car and honestly I sometimes want to get rid of it and get an 90-93 Integra or 88-94 Civic Hb but neither one of those get 40+MPG so I'm stuck with it. I'll just make the best of it !

Nice. If it can pass the California smog test, it's in good enough shape to keep! biggrin.gif

17's are typically too big for our cars; 15 is about the max you can go while staying on the tasteful side while still avoiding rub, but that's getting into personal-preference territory so I won't go there too much. smile.gif

My 17's don't look too bad(if only I had trhe other 2), I just need springs that aren't cut. I do rub on the driver side when I hit a dip or a bump, but thats because the genius who cut the springs cut one side lower that the other and when I the suspension travels more than the spring is tall then it falls off to the side and doesn't seat right. All is going to change this weekend when i go to the junkyard.

I wish I had the 15" Integra GSR's !

Devac... First time I've heard that term, but I think I might have gotten a car that's been "devacced." A whole bunch of my vacuum lines, most of which were in PLACE were PLUGGED with ball bearings. What are the effects of this? Due to my lines still being in PLACE, and I got the car in Florida, I have no reason to believe where it WAS had strict emissions tests like California, WHY would somebody do this? I was getting (might still be, still need evaluation) horrible gas mileage (like 12-15) with this, but would that be due to the amatuer devac that's apparently been done? I even found a tutorial on this site on HOW to do it? Does it affect MPG? IT obviously seems to improve power at the expense of emissions. Anything else? Sorry, I'm just really curious about all this.
