Okay, my friend has an 87 dx with a blown motor. He got an option to buy an 85 si for $500, but it needs a new fuel pump. Are they interchangeable?

The fuel pump is not interchangeable, the DX one is mechanical, attached tot eh camshaft, the SI is electric, mounted by the fuel tank. I have an 87 teg pump that would work, and is for sale.

How about $50 US? I know it works, so that's not an issue. I'll include the mounting bracket as well.
