I bought one to replace my stock carb. Kept deiseling and sending too much fuel to the piston area. Would not start unless I took plugs out and dried them.
Replacing because
- Cheaper than a stock replacement (399 shipped)
- Stock Carb looked really complicated
- had 10 miles of vacum hoses.
- Most shops would not touch Carbed honda's.
- Webers are easier to work on (i've read on here).
how hard are they to install?
Has anyone done this conversion (with elctric Choke)?
Can I run with a disconnected EGR? I have no plate for it.
Is there anything I should watch for?
This kit comes with:
Carb - 22680.033B
Manifold adapter - 99004.126
Air Cleaner - 99217.331
linkage - 99007.116
Base Gasket - 9905.068
Any info is helpful....since I'm new to Carbs.

I have a 32/34DMTR which is similar to yours.
The dieseling gets bad when the carb is running too lean. You can also stop the dieseling by reving the engine, then turning off the key whenever you shut the car off. You can also get a fuel cut off solonoid that was an option on some Webers.
Mine was not hard to install. I installed it in about a day, working slow.
You can run without the EGR. The EGR should be plugged off to prevent a vacuum leak, however.
Watch out for loose screws, jets, and stuff around your intake. If those get get sucked into the intake manifold, they will eventually end up in the combustion chambers and will be a bitch to get out.

I started to take it apart and noticed some coolant lines under the intake. Can we plug these up....at least the ones with vacuum connectors?
I just unplugged the black boxes and disconnected the vacuum hoses.
I'm on my way to a clean engine compartment and running car.

Yes, you can plug all of those. You don't really have to plug the blue one if your adapter plate covers this hole. The black one is a vacuum plug, so you won't have some of the emissions equipment connected. You are going to have to block off that EGR with a plate or something.

Everything has been going really smooth except for the throttle linkage.
The conversion kit came with a linkage adapter but by cable will not go through the cable anchor because it is to thick.
Does anyone have pics of their Weber carb linkage? It would help me out.
The an aftermarket cable used?
That is the only thing I need to do.

All I had to do with my Weber was cut the "barrel" off the end of the factory cable, and secure it to the Weber with supplied brackets...

I paid 239 plus shipping.
Then built the adapter out of some crazy plastic. Then built the linkage out of steel that I had around. Cheaper is better with my racing budget.

I did not want to mess with my car too much since I live in an apartment complex and I'm not supposed to work on cars. I needed a quick conversion kit, so paying a little extra to make it easier for me was perfectly fine.
it came with everything I needed plus a thick Weber manual.
It's a fun toy to play with now.
