My car:
A 1985 crx si with 226xxx miles.
Its not perfect by far, it needs work like all our old school cars. But it should be fun.
Some pics:
Main focus: keep it simple and only do things that I could finish in a weekend. Thats why its a NONproject because it needs to be running 99% of the time no like my last 85 crx dx, which was out for a long time.
I am not going to do any crazy swap or something new, just try to maintain it in good running condition, hopefully replace parts with better parts and restore it to some kind of reflection of its original glory.
To do:
- Replace Axles
- Replace CV boots
- Replace head gasket
- Replace lower control arms
- Replace tie rod end links
- Replace valves
Stuff I have done:
-installed Mr. D's radiator
-swapped over the DX's seats.

notice how it says BETTER parts? lol i think I like my "blinding tipped thing" I have, it sounds so nice. Well I am secretly hoping thats its a mugen LSD , but I doubt it, until I find out i'm going to assume its just a sticker... it looks cool though and probably gives me 20whp since its right there in the engine bay.

A chiquita banana sticker will add +1 hp, but you have to have 2 stickers one for each fender.
Honda, because it's hard to look baller in your mom's Volvo.
The entire tool selection at Sears or the contents of a Snap-On truck will do you no good if you do not know how to use them.

Awesome deal. Good thing you jumped on it.
Just tell people you have Mugen valve springs.
Also, if you want to test for LSD just jack up both front wheels and, with it in gear, spin a wheel. If the other wheel spins the same direction you have a LSD.

No you aren't, unless your daughter came around to thinking that the CRX was cool. Weren't you looking for a Previa so the wife could have something to drive? Quiet you non-owner. You should have never sold yours. Never.
Although, I don't have room to talk. I sent all my stuff to the crusher. Got a whole c-note for it all.

NAH.. never a deal like that. it is a non-running one. I do have another 1G in the works with goodies but the guy wants a left testicle for it.

wow dude, WOW!
Deal of the century!
Who sold it to you? Apparently they did not know/respect what they had. I'm glad it's now in the hands of someone who will care for it accordingly, and not someone who could care less about an important piece of Honda history.
The paint doesn't look half bad. How is the roof? If it's OK, you MIGHT could search the internet for how to bring old paint back the professional way. That paint could be saved, possibly. Paint your trim/lips/rubber pieces with some SEM Bumper Coater, polish out the plastic and tailights, new head lights from the store, new pinstriping, polish the snot out of those sick phone dials, detail and clean the engine, and (cosmetically), call it a day.
SO SICK! I'm happy for you, congrats!
Whats the gas mileage? (so we can all REALLY get jealous ((4WD wagon + thirsty Mikuni's is NOT 45 mpg!!!))
