Yeah, it's pretty easy and if you don't feel comfortable rebuilding your tranny yourself, and don't particularly like the idea of using a used tranny, the EW tranny is still available from JDM suppliers last time I checked. I believe they wanted in the neighborhood of $250 to $300.

I'd really like to know where! Do you have any links?

I figured as much... can't even find a schematic of one. Anybody know what the hardware pieces are called? I have a single pink pin/screw thing. Need another. I'm afraid I may need to fabricate one.

It is suppose to idle high between 2500 to 3000, it is designed to. Check out the sticker under the hood. Tap the gas pedal and it should idle between 1500 and 2000. Then tap the gas pedal again and it should idle normal (as it warms up). Those are the 3 warm up stages.

Update: So today I did my valve clearances, and surprisingly, a lot of them were very tight and a few were loose. Started the car and the idle significantly improved, and it didn't stall. However, I still can't set my ignition timing to the red mark. I'm fully advanced. I was able to bring the idle down to 650 ish but the idle wanted to die. And I test drove it a few blocks and as I was accelerating in 2nd and 3rd, the car would -pop- for a second, hesitate, and continue accelerating. I'll mess with it some more tomorrow. Anybody have any ideas why I can't set my timing to the red mark or why I had some flat spots accelerating?

I tested my vac advance and it's good. However, I couldn't feel any suction from the vac advance line connected to my carb. So now I'm wondering if I devac'd my carb correctly. But the thing is, my car acted like this after the timing belt job and before I devac'd. Something changed.  I'll check that plate out. I'm curious about my exhaust. I put my hand by the tail pipe and it would have a constant flow of exhaust and then randomly stop for a split sec and continue flowing and then repeat. I'll take a video tomorrow, maybe it's of concern, I dunno... When I hooked my vac gauge to my valve cover, it read 5-7. Vac advance line read 1-1.5, and intake manifold read 17-18.
