alright heres the deal. im doing an si swap this summer or maybe later than that. right now got a stock 86 crx hf. the carb is in terrible shape, so bad i have my ignition timing advanced almost all the way just so it idles normal, which totally destroys my gas mileage. id rebuild it but i hate rebuilding carbs and this is my daily driver, so im just looking for a carb that will fit my hf w/o modification(not sure if dx carbs are different) thats is in decent shape and will get me by.thx in advance.

I have a dx carb that will fit but needs a choke assembly, the one off of your hf carb should work fine, unless it is the problem with your carb. make me an offer and it's yours.
Ay!
Ay, dog, ay!

as best as I can tell, hf carbs are differnt then the dx, at least my 85 hf is differnt then my 84 dx, sadly I can't part with either at this time.

Can you tell us how they differ?

any interest in a Weber 32/36 setup here? I've got one complete with the DX manifold, adapter plate, linkage, spare jets, lower plate for an air cleaner, misc spare parts... you'd need the upper half of the air cleaner and to hook up your throttle linkage and emissions stuff if you need to have it, manifold has block off plates for the dashpots and the sensors are all either plugged or inactive. Not sure on the DX manifold fitting the HF head-- anyone with input on that?

I'm out of state right now, but in a few weeks I can post photos of the two side by side, from memery they have differnt size barrles, and difffernt rebuild kits I beleave.
misfit_mafioso if you are removing and reinstalling the carb, a rebuild is not hard, I've done two now, and you can easly do it, and have it all back together in an afternoon, the hardest part is removing the carb and getting it back in, rebuilding it is the simple part, and I would personaly want to do a rebuild on a 20 year old 2nd hand carb befor going thru the work of installing it anyway, but I'm suprized that someone out there doesn't have one sitting around with all the people who do swaps.
