I was single, had just bought my dodge truck and needed a hobby. It was either a boat, a project car, or a 4wheeler. My boss had a little honda with no carb on it (he had paid some shadetree to rebuild it and the dude broke the shit out of it). I offered him 500, paid him, went through hell trying to get it to run good (never got it to idle under 1200 rpm) with three different carbs. Since it was a project anyway and not primary transportation I figured out what engine I was gonna stick in it and the rest is history. I met my wife the same day I paid for my car, doubt I'll ever part with either.
