ok tell me what you think. i contacted delta cams about cutting the fuel lobe of a dx cam and welding it on to a si cam. they said send it. stil need get a price though.

Just take a DX cam and have them grind that...it would be better than an si and a hell of a lot eaier...TOM

well i am doing the si head and piston swap. and eveything ive read says the si cam is better. and i have a si cam the end is damaged were it meets the dizzy. and a dx in the car so i would not have to buy elect fuel pump pressure reg. cam dizzy.

its not the cam, but the head that is better...

If yu have the DX head on the car...keep it and grind that DX cam @ colt or gude cams...if yu want to lower yur compression then switch to a SI head...thats what I did because I am gonna turbo a carb...if yur staying N/A then get keep that compression bro...TOM

this would be the smart thing to do...the cam thing you are talking aboot is sketchy at best!

nobody said cheap i've got a dc sport header. 2 1/4 exhault all the way back. 32 36 dgav weber and a cdn intake si pistons got new rings new arp rod bolts and bearings head went to machine shop and got new vavle guides and vavle job .so the last thing i think is the cam just want some thing decent and not to radical

Then if most get a stage 1 grind on an Si cam from colt or gude....yu get good power but no radical idle..

my stage one from colt idles fine...you can tell it has a cam, but it idles fine!
i need to install my adj. cam gear and tune it just right on the dyno tho

Hey Vaughn,
Don't cut any cam in half and weld it back together. That is the worst thing to do!!! Get a SI dissy, and a small electric fuel pump and then send just the si cam and have them work their magic. DON"T WELD AND CRAP.

thouht by sending it to a cam company to have it cut and spay welded back together would make it not so ify. and id get to keep my dizzy and mechanical fuel pump witch work just fine
