Hello all,

So some jackass missed his on-ramp while talking on his phone.
When he realized he was missing it he decided to swerve his F250 in my lane and try to push me into traffic. I don’t think he saw me in his blind spot.
So instead of letting him push me into traffic I downshifted and got in-front of him.
That really pissed off the shit kicker, AKA Texas Cowboy, so he swerved into the next lane, speeded up and got in front of me, and slammed on his break.
I was in control of my vehicle so I slowed down and got in the next lane just before I rear-ended him.
So I speed up, got into an exit lane several car lengths in-front of him.
I guess this pissed him off even more so he speeded up and road my tail so close I could only see his tall lights.
So I shifted in neutral and stated coasting.

I guess this REALLY pissed him off so he gunned his truck and hit me in the back with his cattle-guard.

He speeded up and left once I pulled over.
I got his tags and called 911.
I then exit the freeway and pull over at a gas station and tell my story to a Cop.
As he taking my info the Cowboy drives up all erratically and slams on his breaks and jumps out of his truck.
The Cop yells for him to stay put and takes the rest of my info and sends me on my way.

So I have to file on the guys insurance to get my car fixed.

Any who…
smile.gif

Just out of curiosity, would a Mugen spoiler cover up this dent?
I was thinking about getting a reproduction spoiler to hide the dent if I take the money from the insurance company instead of letting them fix this.
The trunk still opens fine and all.
It looks like I just have to get a new center piece, fix the bumper support, possibly a new bumper cover, and fix the dent in the hatch lid.

Any advise?
Pic here.
And here...

I felt bad for my car and decided to put on my Si valve cover.
I think she feels better now…

Because I was scared as shit.
I'm 6'3 250 but my little boy is 2 1/2 years old, 30 pounds wet.
I've never been involved in anything like this with my kid-o.
I was shaken but happy he was fine.
(He was in a safety seat in the car with me.)

Good question though...
If I did not have the kid-o I’m more then sure we would have been in a serious fight.

First off,
the adviCe I'd give is:
1) Don't do stupid shit like this when behind the wheel.
2) Don't get insurance involved after you do #1
This is part of the reason why insurance rates are going up for everyone.
Also, this could ultimately have been FAR worse than just denting your car: Think about that car next to you with the mother and her 2 year old child in the backseat that could get caught in the middle between you and Jim-bob pickup driver if/when someone loses complete control of their vehicle.

I'd HATE to think it would be MY wife and 2 year old son in that next car...

I feel you bro, god knows there's enough jackasses out there driving (most of which are classic examples like yours---cell phone soccer moms, ignoramus jim-bob w/ his big domestic 4X4, etc.) but I think ChrisF's sig. says it all:
"Never argue with an idiot...they'll just drag you down to their level and beat you with experience".
In your case, replace "argue" with "have a driving pissing match/showdown".
Also, you never know nowadays what moron is going to pull out a gun, etc.
Be safe, man.

"Please", "I appreciate it", "thank you very much", "I'm sorry"= common courtesy....what a great concept (ESPECIALLY for business)!!

Freakin road rage. I wish everyone would just learn how to drive a bit more calmly and carefully. Its too bad it ended with a dented CR-X.

bryman10, I was just trying to get away from the crazy.
I was the soccer mom, see above... smile.gif

I did the safest things I could to get away.
When he was riding me I did as defensive driving said, slow down.
He speeded up and rammed me after trying to cause a wreck by first pushing me into traffic and then by trying to get me to hit him.

Perhaps I did not put enough detail in my description but honestly, I do not feel I did anything aggressive to provoke him or endanger others.
I checked my huge mirror before getting into the other line when he hit his breaks. There was no one there, if so I would have just hit him like he wanted.

I’m never a jackass when I drive.

shit dude, he hit your car on purpose with your 2 1/2 year old kid in the car. thats even more reason to fuck him up. glad your kid is ok.

EDIT: now that i think about it, its always the dick in the big hillbillie truck or the 4X4 station wagon (A.K.A. SUV rolleyes.gif ) thats cutting me off or riding my ass when im driving my crx.

Sorry to hear about that. But, thats the exact reason I have an aftermarket sunroof in my dx. its removable on nice days, I carry empty cologne bottles in the event that same thing occurs. Because even as efficient as the big trucks are you can still outrun them milage-wise with a properly tuned car. laugh.gif

Well put, but I'd like to add on that it would be better to just get the damage fixed than cover it up with a $300 or whatever wing, also he was technically the mother with her 2 year old child except in a dad sorta way tongue.gif

Edit* Wow that showed up late laugh.gif

The kid did think it was funny as hell.
He laughed so hard when the creep hit me.
I think he was the one that kept me calm and focused.

dame... that sounds like scare stuff. reading all the post i can not see anything wrong with what you did. and with a child in the car too. in bc that guy would have been slaped with: wreckless driving, driving without care of others, and i cant quit word it but close to attemted murder of 2min persons and not sure but probaby hit and run too.

so you say you got the cops, do you know if they got the guy, and i would go after is ass for the cost of fixing your car.

edit: hows your son? was he shaken up by it. i woudl go after the guy just for your sons wel being.
