well i just went and checked sumthin out obvosly the mechanic my bro took it 2 was an asshole and wanted to make more money all the car needs is a new carb i kno this because when ever its cold it does the whoel smoking thing with the bogin etc and then it will shut off a half hour later if you in start it its perfectly fine in other words the car dosnt like the cold weather cuz in summer she runs mint. so i guess ill find a new aftermarket carb or a stocker somewhere

ok so go fuel injected gotcha im thinkin about droppin in a single cam should i do it or nah?? also how hard si all this gonan be?

hey guys i have a 87 crx its the carbed one and my motors on its last leg so wut should i do should i sell the car and get something new or should i get an si head and new carb?? im so lost right now all opinions are welcome. also if i should get the si head ( if anyone has one for sale plz pm me) can i run a stock carb wit it or should i get a aftermarket carb?? thanks

yea thats true dont get me wrong i love this car with all my heart i think its great but i want to make it a nice and quick and a preety lookin car but i dont wanna do a swap to it right now and i wanna keep it light as possible i wanna keep it some what original but i wanna do work to the motor so i guess im just gonna look for some nice heads and some other goodies that i have heard from you guys that i can do i guess ill just have to deal wit the car not bein as low as i want it to be. thanks for all the help guys also what do you guys think i can do to it to get some good performance outta the stock motor i know about devacing but is there any otehr things or parts???

hey guys what up i just wanted to know where i can get a lowering kit for an 1987 honda civi crx? i want the the car itself to sit alot lower to because it looks like a frickin monster truck with my accord wheels on it can anyone help me get my hands on a lowering kit or jeust coil overs that will drop my car also i have been hear about playing with the torsion bars how do i do this and does it lower the car? also will it affect my handleing in a bad way? thanks for all the help

ok gotcha thanks for the help i readjusted my clutch now it has like 1/2 and inch of play and i like it at this setting so im going to leave it as is. im also prob gettin the tranny rebuilt. just to be on the safe side cuz i think the syncros are worn.

ok also i did the adjustment and now i have like 3/4s of an inchs travel in my clutch pedal this isnt bad right and now it dosnt grind until i rev it past 4,000 rpms but i dont wanna losin it to much cuz my clucth pedal has play in it now this isnt bad rite.

ok and also sorry for bein such a noob but im only 16 lol how do i adjust the clucth cable if it is outta wack??? do i need any special tools or will normal wrenches n what not be fine? thanks alot for all the replies guys

hey guys i have been havin this problem with my car for a while but i was wondering if any of you guys would know what it is thats wrong with it well heres my problem i can't rev my car over 3500 rpm in first gear or else it will grind as im going into second is this a sign of me needing a new tranny or is it something minor like the shift linkage it dont grind for a while it just does a quick grind as im puttin it into second as long as i keep the rev under 3500 its fine i dont get it it happens to my brother to and hes been driving stick for well over 4 yrs. thanks alot for the help

ok so i wetn and checked the vacum hoses everythings fine n nwo its running fine again i guess im due for a carb guess ill just order a webber also any one know where i can get some good jdm or mugen, spoon etc wheels from??? thanks for all the help 1st gen ill also do a compression test soon hopfully

hey whats up guys my car is giving me some trouble and i need help so heres my story my car has done this once before and i waited like an hour and then it started and ran fine like nothing happened. what it did when i started it today was it was boggin very badly the cars carborated its an 87 crx dx i tryed driving it but it was boggin very badly and sounded like it wanted to die it was also spititng out black smoke/carbon so i pulled it into my drive way and it stalled and now its not starting but im gonna give it some time and hopfully itll start up again like it did last time this happened is this a carborator problem??? or something more major. thanks for the help
