I then opted to buy some (2 cans) krylon gloss black spray paint, sand paper, silver paint marker (centercaps). the cost? $13 and change. reason i chose this color was to hide the wheel a bit . i then noticed the center caps had an engraving of the "h" on the backside. so i popped off the cover on the centercap and found the " h" was engraved on the front. so i decide to paint the insert in silver, for a bit of contrast.
i then sanded and grinded the wheels to remove the blemishes the best i could. i left a slight outer lip to contrast (seperate) the wheel from the tire. i achieved it by grinding with a (fine) wire brush drill bit, and some sanding. i then painted it with several coats and wound up with this.
So heres my cheap excuse for some "upgraded" wheels . i spent a total of about $75 including the wheels. so what do you guys think, was it worth the time or should i have kept my busted ass steelies? luckily i have some new tread going on them courtesy of the steelies.
BTW, hi im a noob
