Hello guys!

I want to post here this topic about my turbo install as it maight help someone with a similar setup.
Itīs been a long week and as today go 4 days working on it.
We had a stupid drawback and had to disassemble everything yesterday by stupidity.
Never forget to lignup the clutch before gearbox install... took us 1 day to realize that.... mad.gif

Now itīs just assembling the intercooler and radiator and oil cooler.
Then, we hope, it will be ready to start.

Still need to make a basemap but í still have a lot of questions.
Like wich is the better way to create a basemap for my pm6 to run this thing.

What are you using to create the ROM for the PM6? I assume you have a chipped one? I used the basemap deluxe Excel spreadsheet from pgmfi.org, and plugged the numbers into TurboEdit. It fired up first try, and ran great, even wtih no O2 sensor plugged in!

I have a laptop that runs turboedit and ecucontrol.
Dl works fine and yes itīs a chiped pm6.
I want to build the RTP board but no time yet.

Can you please help me on describing the versions of turboedit and rom that you used and wich basemap was used too?

Iīm really afarid of the first start and i havenīt yet understood very well maps.

The turbo i use is about 700-900gr of air pressure.

What do i do about rom? Help!

I hope that everyone isnīt disappointed on me for begining a tread on d-series.org but i promise to make a full report of it here.

Until now see this link (pics).

Thats a really nice setup, everythings great except your oil return is a little low on the oilpan. You want to make sure the drain is above the oil line otherwise it wont flow like it should.

Dont want anything bad to happen to such a nice setup

I used whatever the latest TurboEdit is, and got the appropriate bin (NG55_18bar.bin) for my stock MAP sensor, then I used the Excel spreadsheet and plugged in my injector size, etc, and then copied and pasted the maps into TurboEdit. It was a LOT simpler than I thought it was going to be, and it fired up first try. If you do that, I don't think you will hurt your motor (as long as nothing is wrong mechanically) since it's really just idling at that point.

Ok!

Iīm going to do just the same.
Please just tell me wich excel you used or if you could send it by mail to [email protected] it would be nice.
There are several excel files so iīm kind of lost on wich to use.

For the setup is going nicer than i thought.
Now iīm just doing the piping and itīs done.
Thanks for the oil tip!

As soon as i have time iīll make a decent post here of the install.

My best

i think the newest version of turbo edit includes a automatic scaler to scale down your injector duty cycle for larger injectors.

that way you dont have to worry about the spreadsheet stuff.

:edit, i just checked it out.on turboedit v2.0.11 go to file than properties than click the button fuel injector sizing and click your size injectors and apply.

Yes, buy you need a basemap to start with, which is what the spreadsheet does for you. Anyway, once I get this thing running and driveable, I'll figure out more stuff with TurboEdit... smile.gif

Sorry for my ignorance but a doubt still exists:

- in the ng55 helper xls you can define the injector size, boost retatrd, etc.
If i do all that in the xls i donīt have to do it on turboedit, right?

That's how I did it. I made all the changes in Excel, then just pasted into TurboEdit, and saved the bin. I haven't driven the car yet, so that's still untested.
