Did a little more work today after school... I got the lower control arm bushings in, as well as the new tie-rod ends and it's poly bushing upgrades. You can also see my poly bushings on the sway bar, what you can't see is my Suspension Tech. secondary sway bar which will go back in after the motor. Once the new bearings are pressed into the knuckles, the suspension can be buttoned up and the car can go back on the ground.

I also got a "strut mounting kit" to have a new bushing at the top of my shocks as well...

got my suspension finished and ready to put the car back on the ground today, thought I'd share my update...

I replaced my steering rack boots because mine were torn VERY badly...

Just to continue my "balla" status I painted my Tokico "blues" gold, mainly because the blue paint was all chipped and scratched up, and because it's the only color other than black I had laying around... wink.gif

I then freshened up my calliper paint and fenderwell paint, then slapped on my old rotors (surface rust the dirtiest part here) and popped on my knuckles sporting their new bearings.

Tah dah!! everything is now pressure washed, scuffed, and painted... I love working with clean parts... Soon the car will be back on the ground and the motor will slip in, then it's on to my wiring nightmare and finish her up!!

-enjoy!

Who makes the Strut mount bushings, and what do you think of em. I looked and ES doesnt list any for our cars, i assume you found some universals or something.

These are actually just OEM replacements; i couldn't find poly ones either... i do have one option however that includes cutting out the old rubber mounts, and filling it with the stiffer 3M product i used to solid fill my motor mounts. I'll be trying that later...

Thanks to Richter77 & hosmer, Dean will now have 27.5mm tb's, and adj panhard bar, and rear disc brakes! woo-hoo!! lol
here are the pics so far

with the rear suspension out i just dropped the car over the wheels only to get a wicked cool ultra JDM lowrider custom stance view wink.gif lol

with the trailing arms out i took the time to install my poly bushing kit for the rear that i've had for ever

and the adj phb is on the axel

thanks to big dummy Richter not including the proper studs to bolt the driver side assembly to my axel i am stuck here for now tongue.gif jk buddy, but he fixed my problem right up and i should see these pieces before the end of the week.

Thanks again guys!

Love following this build, I am filling my engine mounts at xmas when ! freshen the motor. Keep up the awesome work!

What paint is in the engine bay? Is it some satin black epoxy or something? Looks great!

James.

No, the paint is actually just a satin black base coat over rattle can filler primer. Thanks for the comments! More updates comming soon as I will soon have EDM headlights and corners, and my studs came in to complete my rear disc swap along with brand new discs! woot!! More pics soon, I'll keep you posted.
