To get the front really low, you will need to take the torsion bars out and reposition them 1 notch lower. If your car is a 100% racecar, get the thickest torsion bars you can find (OPM Motorsports has a selection). Lowering the car reduces suspension travel.
is ist possible to reposition them 2 notch lower? or how deep will it be on the car?
after making it 2 nothes deeper i could turn the 17er screw uppest position or???

I indexed my torsion bars in the front of my civic 2 notches... and I have the adjusters cranked all the way up... top of a 185/60-14 sits even with wheel well, but the struts are almost completely bottomed. we're talkin like 3/8" bound and I can almost tell you the year of every penny I drive over... if you catch my drift...

lmao...thats a great way of describing it...but do you have upgraded torsion bars? if not, then that might really help along with some good shocks

I had good struts until I lowered it that far... and the torsion bars are stock size (honda replacements), and a thicker torsion bar would just make it stiffer...
thicker torsion bar=stiffer spring rate

ok i realise that, but if you had a stiffer spring rate with matching good struts would help with your problem....and no bottoming out!

no, see, I put new struts in and then a month later I re-indexed the torsion bars, and now the struts are shot, I pulled them out and they stayed fully compressed. It's too low for stock struts. To go that low you would need to spend the money on some shortened struts, and probably some camber plates (if they ever get made). And sure, a stiffer t-bar would keep it from bottoming, a little, but the ride would still be uber-harsh. You may not be able to tell the year, but you'll know whether it was a penny or a dime...

The front suspension geometry will be completly screwed up if you lower the car as much as you are talking about. no amount of lowered strut or front spring rate will compensate for that. These cars do not have to be that low to handle well.

From what I understood in his first post, he just wanted it LOW... some people do it strictly for cosmetics, I did it to see what it's like, and it's not staying that way. I t just doesn't get driven right now, I need a new distributor. My rex however will not get the same treatment because I am autox'ing it, so I do care about the geometric of my suspension. but thanks tho

if I'm not mistaken I have seen that car before, and it has air cylinders similair to airgazm86's, there's an idea for you, hit up some air to cure speed bump and driveway problems

edit: here is a sick shot of airgazm's car
