Basically the car has been stripped of everything except for the lights, front seats, and dash. If anyone wants any interior parts lemme know. I'll sell em cheap.

Looking good so far!

Is that the infamous paceshitter header? How much did you pic it up for? Mine sure looks a lot the same as that one....

Cheers,
Mark

I picked mine up from Summit for about $140. I also welded a support bracket to it as shown below due to the fact that its only held on by 3 exhaust bolts.

When inspecting the brakes this weekend I took a gander at removing the rear struts. The bolts holding the struts to the axle were frozen and without an air gun or room for a larger breaker bar I opted not to mess with the suspension. As it is, I had to jump on the lug nut wrench to break loose the rear lug nuts. biggrin.gif

We ended up instead flushing the brake fluid and replacing it with some Valvoline Synpower fluid I had from a previous brake job on my celica. Old fluid was the color of dark pancake syrup. Yuck.

I also picked up another co-driver:

I tried my hand at fiberglassing this weekend. I "shaved" the rear door handles, and the side molding holes. I also fabbed a hood scoop using an old pizza box. I will be cutting holes in the top of the air cleaner box and gluing an square air filter to the top of the box which will be directly under that scoop. Probably won't be gaining much from the mod, but it was fun to do! smile.gif

Then masked it for painting in my "paint booth":

Then primered:

and then the beginnings of the final color:

I bought the last of the orange paint at OSH which wasn't enough so now I have to wait for a shipment to arrive on wednesday. Thankfully this car is small so it doesn't require TOO much paint.
