Hello. Was wondering if anyone in the DFW area or in Texas in general(don't want to rule anyone out) would like to go to the junkyards next weekend. I want to find some body parts for my rex as well as maybe a shift linkage.

Haven't been able to go lately because of work from 8-6 at the shop so yeahs let me know!

Sunday would be best day as I can go all day

My busy season in ramping up so I won't be able to go.

I've been preaching this, but for the past 2 Falls, I've called/visited 80 yards and CRX cars were mostly crushed for the metal. There were some old, picked over bodies in Mansfield, one in a yard in Plano. Did find one in Lewisville, but it was on the pile to be crushed and they multilated it w/ a forklift so was junked anyway. There was a reasaonble crx si near BPs Just on the East side of Ft. Worth. I took a round at it, then BP/Gimpalot had their turns.

I'd call ahead before you drive. I just grabbed the phone book and called while I was driving.

I've given up on the yards around here.

But If you find a clean crx, get the door side skirts, lower sill garnishes, obviously fenders/header. Seems like low mileage fuel pumps are a big deal now. Also, the Cali guys seem to need Fuel tanks every now and then. Their yards are required to puncture the tanks. I'm sure someone will buy these items if you don't need

What are you looking for? My last run was this past Oct/Nov. But stock changes often. I'm convinced you just need to buy are car and part it out. Hamster is in the process right now.

Civics and CRXs take different fenders. The CRX has plastic fenders, more than likely pre-cracked courtesy of the Texas heat. Some pop up on Ebay often. The 84-87 Civic has different metal fenders. The 92-95 fenders will only bolt on with special tools.

If you lucked out, you could swap out a teg front end, I've seen it done. And then they try and sell it, wanting $8000000000 (whatever a bajillion is)

The entire tool selection at Sears or the contents of a Snap-On truck will do you no good if you do not know how to use them.

dont listen to them. they are lying to you. even on 88-91 civics, none of the fenders are the same. four door vs wagon vs hatch vs crx are ALL different! same with ours only worse, all crx fenders are plastic.

original uncracked OEM fender? like 160... and how you wanna ship that? biggrin.gif
