Hey guys thanks for the hello.

Yes I have a Tauras, what can I say. It was a 1999 with 80k miles and in near mint condition for $500. I could not pass it up. It is my daily beater. I had a Mustang as a beater for a while but sold it to get the Tauras. Made $500 off the Mustang so the Tauras was more or less free. It may be on the way out though as I am in need of a truck and in want of a C5 Vette. The C5 may replace the Miata in late 2006 or maybe 2007. If I find the perfect 99 or 2000 FRC Vette between now and then though all bets are off.

Nice to see the old names still around. Steve I sent you an email with current info. Nice to know that black CRX is in good hands.

Hopefully someday I can attend. I know I will get my ass handed to me, but it's all about the fun. First step is to make the SCCA events in Toledo and Oscoda in '06, I rarely leave Detroit...

Make 2006 your year man. I will be at Topeka in 2006 unless something crazy and drastic happens. I may very well be in Oscoda as well in 06. Several friends went to Oscoda this year but it is a long tow for us. If they go back in 06 I will probably attend.

I will be trying to make as many National level events as I can in 06 even if my car ends up not being the car for the class. I still have a bunch of development time left to go and a new rear end to put in so it may be a long while before I have hopes of winning.

Haha. You should have seen the day a group of about six of us were all ripping down Highway 28 in North Carloina headed towards Deal Gap. As we went through a nice twisty section toward Fontana Dam The two or three cars at the back of the pack including me started smelling some real hot brakes. I cleared the corner only to see Flames shooting from the right rear wheel of my friends car up ahead. I was screaming over the windsheild frame just about standing in my seat...JD your car is on Fire moron.

He had left the ebrake up a click or two and had run the car and the brakes hard through a tight section of twisties. People coming across the narrow damn road were hitting the brakes and trying to get out of the way thinking his car would explode or something.

He just went oh, well let me drive some more and blow it out. All was fine after he stopped using the brakes for a couple hundred feet and put the ebrake down.

I do not have a rule book around here at work but are the older MR2's in E Stock? If they are then do not bother. The 1.8l 94-97 Miata is moving to ES next year and will clean it's clock in stock class. Now if you want to mod and move up to a SP or other class then that may be worth looking into. I may be wrong and only the second gen MR2's are in ES but check the classifications and rules before you buy anything.

I almost wish my 95 Miata was still stock so I could run in ES next year. Almost but not enough to pull my mods off and go back to stock.
