well geeze!!!
its not done yet, i need to find some more piping or parts from an IC kit so i can get the filter down by the battery. he just whipped up the carbhat this morning and we needed to have some kind of filter till we could find the rest of the right piping......
i thought the same thing when i saw the pics the first time.......
runs much nicer now. have a tiny vac leak under the carb and some valve lash... and a bit more timing, sounds mean when i step on it now!!

OOoo nice. i wanted to do that but i cant weld. and i never even came close to buying a air filter for that 1300 carb beast.
for the people with bike carbs do exactly what JeepGirl has done times 4 clamp them on with some silicone joiners and clamps and aim the filters upwards then cut 4 holes for them to stick through your bonnet
btw nice job on the valve cover...
should get a video so we can all hear that 1300cc power i know mine was cool when i had it.

oh it sounds great, i tried recording it last night but everytime i rev the snot out of the car the flywheel inspection plate rattles like MAD!! weve tried tightening them but they just rattle loose after awhile. i'm thinking lock-tite next time.

well, we spent the afternoon doing this and that and i took more pics
we replaced alot of vacuum lines and all the fuel lines and used proper hardware. its so much brighter in the sun also fixed a leak in one corner of the valve cover, fixed a vacuum leak under the carb, got the rear mudflaps on after MaximumMax so nicely freshened them up with some satin black.
i also repainted the rear axle, drums, backing plates and trailing arms and the mounting tubes for our package rack in rustoleum black.
up on the baylift.
Got Mudflaps?
i do
i know the car is dirty, please dont hate, its a daily driver!
slowly but surely the enginebay is starting to come together. i need to find new cables bad, my throttle cable is frayed and my choke doesnt fit right, though it still works.
i will give it all a very detailed cleaning after we get back from vacation with it.
and hey, thanks for looking
