I'd oddly be interested in the window cranks, I don't recall ever seeing that before.

Yes, exactly. That's why the easiest way would be with a CAD drawing, since more error would be introduced measuring a part to make a drawing. I would rather just make the finished part from a plan, than mess w/ the prototype stage.

The situation is ( as if anyone cares): I'm training to be a CNC machinist. I have a mechanical drawing certificate & a BFA in sculpture ( basically a 5 year shop class!) with a math minor. I finish school in May. Before then I can make small/ medium parts under the aegis of a project *very* cheaply. The instuctor wants to see a blueprint. I can obviously draw them, but I don't have the time or a CAD program. I'm unemployed & on a tight budget.
May thru November only.
Rust never sleeps.

and why the hell would you want another obd0 distributor? obd1 would be far more useful although non vtec distributors, I think, mount the same anyways

An adapter to put an electronic advance distributor onto an EW motor for less than $350 dang dollars! I'd buy one tomorrow.

I would agree that having an adaptor plate would indeed be nice. It would give thousands of 1st Gen CRX's the ability to run a distrubitor that we can tune the spark with. Add a ECU and baby-baby, that would be SWEET. Now, just bring it in under (read way under) that $350 that the other guys wants for it and I'm grabbing my debit card, NOW.

ANd once a few of us use them, there will be a host of others to convert as well.

$350 for a small machined piece of aluminum adapter plate? That can't be right. What's really involved with making such an adaption? Are the distributors that different?

It sounds to me for that price they are chopping off the end of one and grafting to the end of the other, or something complicated like that.

Just thinking out loud.

I would like a shift boot topper ring. The one I have is chromed plastic and is crumbling. I would be willing to buy half a dozen of them.

The entire tool selection at Sears or the contents of a Snap-On truck will do you no good if you do not know how to use them.

Somebody on here makes them i think, It is $350, idk why so much, its just an adaptor plate, then a small shaft that goes in the middle to transfer the movement from the cam to the new distrubitor.

I dont have any need for one but a EW to 88+ Dseries Distrubitor would be a great deal, being able to run OBD0 or OBD1 and actualy tune fuel/spark for a EW would unleashe a whole new power for these motors. The only problem is im pretty sure 88-91 are different pattern from 92-95 as well as 96-00, altho theres not much use for 96-00 because nobody offers a decent way to tune OBD2.
