He He...
Close,
But you can't replace the torque of a big motor compared to a little one that's force fed.

Most people get confused with H22's and preludes. H22's are strong motors but preludes are not. (In most cases..)

At the time this was the fastest fwd car over all the b-series powered cars, just have to know your stuff like everything else.

Using stock cams too... biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

it is EXACTLY about that.

1.) pigludes are extremely heavy and are not meant for "from stop light to stop light" potential.
2.) the H motors DO "own"(god i hate that word), while pigludes dont really.
a prelude on the freeway(once its already been moving) is a killer tho, my friends STOCK 96 vtec(which i drive regureally) will kill most modded hondas on the freeway.
while driving the piglude,i have gotten eaten up buy a mildly modded crx before.
i also have taken out my buddies prelude in my AUTOmatic CRX in 0-45mph a few times. (when he was driving)

the moral is, H series motor in a light wieght civic/crx chass is the modern day honda equivalnt to a big block 502 in a nova...

or a bmw e46 in a 2002.

sorry, novas suck biggrin.gif

someone should drop a K series engine in their rex. the iVtec would make for better torque delivery. plus, i think i read somewhere that theyre lighter than H22s.

they are 30-40 lbs lighter than a b-series.. which is like 30+ lbs? lighter than the h-series..

I'm just cutting my teeth on this Honda. Give me a few years and after my son has grown a bit older I will be doing something radical like an H22 in a 'rex. I probably will use a second gen 'rex or fourth Civic, I'd hate to deface a 1G. smile.gif

This is coming from a guy who shoe-horned a 460 Big block in a ranger (me)
I can make it fit, it's just that the budget (time and money) doesn't allow it right now.
