i hope this is a sick joke. do not start to defile and ricertize an 85crx....out of all the models! i suggest you sit around and read up a little before you go making any modifications that you listed. good luck with your project.

Jesus guys, they're new. Try to have a modicum of restraint. How do they know that we're purists? Youre gonna make us look like honda-tech...

I have one question.... what would be the purpose of all that stuff?

I mean, Your gonna have all that show and no go. Its pointless. Its a car, its supposed to take you from point a to point b. As fast as possible. A snazzy wing and fancy gauges arn't gonna help you.

The point of a wing is to create downforce at speeds higher than your crx will ever see. The gauges are there to display how fast your going and how your car is performing. They do that perfectly in oem form. Some pimpin breaklights arnt going to do anything but draw the cops attention, and get a bunch of ford drivein rednecks hollerin at your riced out car.

There's nothing wrong with makeing your car badass looking, but think of it this way. If you had a super hot g/f who all the dudes drool over, would you want her warein the slutties everyone fuck me clothes or would you wan't her warein somethin more approiate.

Rice is for car shows, and for posers who like to front thier shit likes its bad when they waisted all thier moeny on the big fart can and carbon fiber wing and accesories.

Jonesy, you're right.

I was a bit harsh, and lately the whole board has been pretty harsh to ricers. I don't like them, or the style, personally, but thats me.

Its your car, and do what you want, but expect some razzing everytime you do something rice related, because as Jonsey said, we are purists, and have our cars for the same similar reason: Barebones grassroot performance.

All are welcome aboard, and the longer you stay here, the sooner you will see that these cars are made for driving, not showing.

If you really want all that weight and bling on your car, you should really consider a 2G CRX, or 92 and up Honda, where the aftermarket is bursting with cheap chromed goodies.

Welcome.

First, being the only SERIOUS and MATURE memeber here( laugh.gif ), let me just say the 86-87 CRXs came with the body hardware. The 85 is a stealthy, unassuming fast car. I have a 85Si and am going to keep it mostly stock looking but beef the motor up. The 85 Si is kinda a sleeper. Generally the body kits, altezzas, and wings don't look particularly great on a small boxy old car. Spend your money on GO rather than SHOW, or people will dust you while laughing at you. The first gen CRXs are true enthusiast cars, while the second gen CRXs are more mainstream general import market. The 85 looks oldschool cool the way they are, just shine it up, fix the rust, and drop in a ZC or B series and get some respect, like Rick James did.

Once a woman is introduced to Colonel Angus, she'll settle for nothing less.

Yeah....true that...the 1G is a kick ass car! I get comments on it all the time, some good, some bad, like buy a newer car. Screw em tho...i paid 500bucks for mine, it will run circles around their new car, and drive me across the states without a hiccup. How many 'new cars' can say that? The bling-wing would fall off at mile marker 500 and the graphics start to peel off at mile 2000. The 1G CRX is a toy, make of it what you want, but remember that it was designed for performance in an economy package. Handling, minimalist weight, only the neccessary goodies to ensure that corners all around the world are taken at more than twice the posted speed limit.

I get over 30mpg in my 1G DX with rusty rear fenders and cracked front fenders. The paint is fading and i dont have AC. But i can spank a ricer or two easy. Just wait till the corners come, thats when the school bell really rings. Thats what the 1G is all about. Ever notice how bare the market is for 1G rice stuff? Probably because no-one wants that. Its ok to trick it out, but be tasteful about it...There arent any Lamborghinis turned into art cars are there!? Or a ferrari with a big american V-8 and duallie trucker pipes coming out of it?

Also, once you put the big ass wing and body kit on it, paint the interior neon green, you will still have a 1980s car with a very small engine. So how fun is it going to be to own a slow wild-looking car when your buddies have tricked out Supras and Evos? They are fast and furious. Your car is going to be just furious...or at leat all the 1G owners around the world willll be. Haha. cool.gif

You can either get the ebay special bodykit, or Andy's Autosport makes one, and Houseman makes one. As for altezza's, i don't think anyone makes them for our cars. Wings just don't look right on these cars...unless you get the mugen spoiler. ph34r.gif
