ok everyone out there its my turn i've been working on my crx lately and getting it ready for my big project. i decided im gonna do it all, the only way to learn is trial and error i guess. so i've done it all on my own so far. i've decided i want a b powered rex for sure now, its been a toss up between a d16 and a b-series but i decided i'll spend the money and im gonna go for the b. well the only thing i've done so far is taking the beast apart. i dropped the engine out. i pulled all front body panels off, got the ac and heater out, dash is out right now. im gonna take out all the wires that arent needed, i already took out all dash ac, heater, radio, and dash clock wiring out. im gonna get rid off all the wiring that i can and then gonna try to clean it all up. well do far i've just stripped the front end and some interior, i plan to do more tomorrow so i'll post as i go now. i know this post is gonna be one that takes a long time but i figure i'll do it i can get everything done right with my b-series i think im gonna do the write-up that everyone is looking for, so we'll what happens. also i may pop in with things that i do to my hatchback also being that even though it is my daily driver it still is a project. but alright thats all i've got for today see you guys tomorrow.

Todays work, i only worked on it for about ab hour, i took the black rain gaurd off the driver side of the car and i think im gonna take them off, it doesn't look too bad, i started taking some wires out with it. i got all the radio wires and ac wires off of the fuse box im gonna get them out of the entire harness though probably tomorrow. one question is, say i wanna get rid of a wire can i just follow it all the way through and remove it? i mean im pretty sure thats what im suppose to do but i wanna make sure. o and another one which relays do i need to keep? do i need the ones that bolt onto the radiator support? what about the ones under the dash by the door? thanks everyone, now i need to get a digicam

those relays by the radiator what do they do?
aparently you dont need them cos my car still starts and runs fine without that whole piece of the loom.

think i needed to wire up the fan again though.

those relays are rubbish for the AC arent they?

okay guys i haven't been able to get much done because i have been working, but thats a good thing because i have no money to be able to do anything, so once i get paid i'll be good. i was gonna start doing my tuck today, i already went through the wires and god rid of some wires i don't need like ac and heater wires(also radio wires, wish i wouldn't have but o'well) i've removed all the ac/heater components in and out of the car so im just waiting to do the wiring. i was wondering for do you guys think, i don't have an engine harness yet so would it still be okay to do the tuck, and just find somewhere for the harness to go and then connect the engine harness later? also what harness should i use, i was thinking of getting an ls engine harness(being thats what i wanna use b18) or do i keep my stock crx si engine harness and adapt it to the ls? im thinking the ls harness would be better and easier but im looking for advice. but alright then im gonna go get to work extending the headlight and such wires so just let me know what you guys think. thanks a lot.

i hope someone is reading this i don't wanna make another topic just for this question, but when doing a swap(b-series) i don't need the wires for the stupid emissions box from the d15 anymore do i? and also when doing the tuck and shave where do you guys put the wires for like the resistor box and other little things like that? is it safe to bolt them in the car under the dash? i have a lot of room being that i have none of the heater or ac parts under the dash anymore. and also with a newer engine the coils are in the dizzy right? so i don't need to use the wires for the coil that mounts to the firewall anymore right? im just checkin cause im extending the driverside light wires right now, and those wires are on that part of the harness. someone please read this and help me out

You may not need the injector resistors either. I know that with my 99 B20 I don't. I don't know about tucking the wires, I'm running the new harness on the same path as the Civic original or comparible to its location on the CR-V, depending on the wires location/needs. I'm using the A/C hole in the firewall for the engine harness since I don't have A/C.

o ok your right i forgot about that but i think you don't need the resistor because its obd-2 im mostlikly gonna be wiring up obd-0 and then covnverting to obd-1. im just wondering would it be easier to get the integra engine harness and then plug it to my crx chassis harness(where the crx engine harness went) and then just move wires around if needed or add wires if needed? thanks alot

Alright guys got just a little more of an update i've started extending wires for the wire tuck, one question again, that stupid black box is not needed right? so im not gonna go thought wires. so thats mostly what i've been working on and searching for an integra(b18) engine harness, but i still cant find one. one bit of progress. thanks to kakabox, i also to now have a n/a booster, yep no more brake booster for me, and my integra master cylinder fits great. im gonna go get the pp valve from the teg too, i also need to get the teg front brake assembly to finish my brakes, i did it backwards from most people, i did the rear disk before upgrading the front, but it will all happen in time. also now the crx is sitting on some rims i got off of a friends 93 gs integra, i like how it looks. i've been taking pictures i just gotta get them on a disk and post them then you guys can tell me what you think. well i gotta go to work now so talk to you guys later. any feedback or answers to my questions would be greatly appreciated.
