Well...I got her home yesterday from my shop...still needs lots of work...don't seem to be able to get a good rev outta her either...lol if yall wanna help let me know...anyways heres some pics....TOM





heres the d15a2 with si head,distributor with no vac advance yet(that might be affecting the rev)just a down pipe on now,just lots of stuff still to do...it starts right up though...vrooommm...

i was talking to some guys at work one of whome who use to work for a race team and he said that they put bike carbs ( mikunis ) on a datsun and it idled like shit had now power in the bottom end and drunk a shit load of fuel .. let me know how your economy goes and whether you can get it to idle properly im very interested to find out

it idles ok...I have been switching the fuel pressure..but don't really now what it should be running at...its idling ok...but it the revs...it under revs and pops and stuff....

Yes, that is correct... maybe. 600 is a little small, I would think. A lot of people say 650 is the smallest you'd want to go, but I'm sure you could get 600's to work pretty good with only a little modification to the fuel delivery system.

lilneedle, ~3psi should be good for fuel pressure. What is it at now?

I have been switching it from 1.5-2.5 psi...the 2 fuel vent hoses on the carbs seem to spit out fuel at higher psi...the motor is running with just a down pipe,timing my be off a tiny bit...andno air box for my carbs either so they are like fluddering...lol gotta get that done...TOM

you don't think those "vents" could be for a fuel return line do you? it's a possibilty . and don't forget, the float bowls need to be mounted level.

hey peeps just got news I can get my licsense back in 2 weeks for 600 dollars...thank god...I'll be able to drive again...it's been three years. I definatly learned a big lesson...Don't drive drunk in a 500rwhp mustang....and watch for trees...anyways...got some nice 14" steelies off a 96 coupe today with new 195 michelins...The car is running great...with the new electric fuel pump and return line that I never installed until now...Anyways pics to come later...stay tuned...TOM

whats the deal with the smart remarks i though we were all adults here... helping each other out...I have been nice from the start..so...dam..guyzz..anyways...I learned my lesson from a dui accident. Anyways...here is some update pics of these tires with 14" painted steelies...looks good to me..and there is a pic of my return line hooked up on the firewall..seems to run great so far...need to get that mozart exaust welded up next ....stay tuned..TOM
