montgomery county.....as per front suspension its all a refab. many ideas are flying around this garage. none of them to par with mine but i wont disclose info to anyone unless they r there when the ideas are flying (aka there when we r working rex guys in my area more than welcome.) u will see when its we act on an idea. i have been working my ass off at work and have been slacking in the project car area. my friend had me working on his Firebird formula which i might add is a pretty bad ass car. but back to the subject at hand. I get married in 6 days im on leave aka away from the grove' those who know it know what im talking about. so yeah more time work isnt getting done. WEAK. but i have made a little progress as for NHRA rules go. i finaly ordered the rule book because i need to know what they r going to require as far as fuel cell roll cage seat mount ect..... I dont want to show up at the track and have them point 400 problems out again. but until i get back to my love (the rex) peace.

Since your going all out and refabbing lots of stuff....... Have you thought of using the front suspension from an 89-91 Civic/Crx?? It's lightweight, strong, has upper/lower arms, well designed. Check it out there's PLENTY in the j/y's. More pics please.

blink.gif I give up!

How in the world did you break THAT bone in THAT location! huh.gif

If you love the Elise, drive a Se7en - Caterham or whatever...
It has even less content than the Elise, is less graceful looking
...and changes direction like a ping pong ball whacked by Thor.

The entire tool selection at Sears or the contents of a Snap-On truck will do you no good if you do not know how to use them.

BUMP for an update!!
my idea is for stock suspension with the biggest tbars you can find(well maybe not that big) along with some helper springs... shouldnt be too hard to fab up not compared to what you're doing right now!

wouldnt doubt it... so what then? volvo front subframe? hmm its strong and narrow like the rex, not sure how much wider it'd be but its worth looking into, plus I think it has the same lug pattern and size that a chevy would have so you wouldnt have to mix wheel combos... whatever you do, get some power steering.
