I'm sure some of you might believe this will be a complete waste of time but I'm curious to see where this will takes us.

To whom this may concern:

Over the past few years I've been finding it more and more difficult to find certain parts for our cars like exterior trim.
This has been as a result of Honda discontinuing these parts for these cars, making it very difficult to restore or even maintain the exterior finish of our cars
I'd like to start a petition which would show Honda that there is an increasing demand for some of these parts
and that even a small run of some of these parts could satisfy those which have decided to preserver these cars.
Door moldings, window trim, gutter moldings, header panels, fenders and spoilers seem to take a lot of abuse.
I think If we can collect enough names we can at least document a demand, then forward this onto Honda Canada and Honda America.

Any interest in this proposal?

sorry guys, but i seriously doubt you will get anyone to help you. first im pretty sure all of our cars came from japan, not built here... which means all the molds and whatnot, IF they still exist which i kinda doubt, would be in japan. that means convincing honda of japan to pull out really old crap and make a small production run of parts that would probably cost more than we would want to pay.

you probably have a better chance of convincing them to SELL any molds they still have to a company that can reproduce them.

i completely agree with the idea... but the world revolves around money and we just dont have enough to make it worth honda's time. it would be like convincing them that their new crz is a bad idea and needs to be redesigned. while true, it just wont go over well....

as a side note, ive been told our headgaskets are no longer availible from honda. a friend of mine said he knows someone who can make gaskets and such, so we may be able to get some OEM quality headgaskets possibly.... i will look into it further. anyone got a minty fresh one to go by?

Mr Honda said as long as one of his cars was on the road he would offer parts.

This is a great idea and maybe it will work and I would send it to every email I could find for Honda America and Canada.

Did he mean all the parts or at least two parts (lug nut and 10mm bolt)? laugh.gif Sorry I could read that either way.
