Recently bought an 87 wagon. When I got it it cranked fine and runs well it just won't idle, you have to keep the revs up. It had the stock carb on there when I got it, but it looks as if someone tried to devac it, but I still found some ports and hoses to block of. Anyway after doing some reading I decided to get the weber carb. I put it on and it does the same thing. It will run on the fast idle but then dies at low idle. I haven't messed with tuning the carb much as I didn't really have time after I got it on. My suspicion is that I still have a vacuum leak somewhere.
What do yall think? Anything else I should check on? Am I overlooking something simple?
Can't wait to get this thing running right.
Thanks
