So here is what inspired me to attempt this install: http://www.redpepper...e...st&p=315473

I was going to originally buy an OBX diff but after doing my own research I went with the M Factory. Here's my conclusion to my selection:

OBX lsd diff run-out where the final drive gear bolts onto is less than desirable, varies between .005"-.025" I imagined the diff doing the "hula" against the counter shaft assembly and taking it's toll on the internals and possibly grenade my trans. Don't get me wrong, some people do get lucky with their OBX diffs, but in my world the odds are usually against me.

OBX diff are cheaper and people saying they don"t have any problems after installing it and it still running. There is a guy that sells an "upgrade kit" where you replace less than desirable hardware, and basically "blueprint" the diff.
I read posts of guys that did take extra precautions and they still had catastrophic failures of OBX diffs.

So I didn't want to take a chance and bought the M-Factory instead.

Thanks, please let me know how this diff works out. Please photo document you installation for us. FYI we own the KaKabox now and I'm gathering D16 engine parts and extra gearboxes now. We think we are going to build a Turbo full race engine for it so I'm interested in what you are doing.

OK I'm not sure how to load pics if anyone can point me in the right direction. but here it goes..this is my diff carrier after i tore down my trans. i found the pinion pin wasted. I had to drill out the roll pin that held the pin in. Lucky i took a look at the diff before installing back into the xmsn.

I thought it was the b series lsd's that fit the old teg box?

Some of the webing has to be ground down to fit a b series lsd... Though I don't recall what brand this housing was modded for, so your results may be different...

CRX Fanatic, the diff case did not interfere with the case on the trans. case side but it did on the clutch housing side.

I needed to clearance the housing just like how the kakabox install went. The pic. below shows the clearance i did using a mill file. The diff hardware has a lot of clearance now.

So all in all the diff install went smooth. Now i got some peace of mind knowing my diff won't take a crap unexpectedly. i wont go into detail on how to re-assemble the trans. because that's a whole other animal.
