They are the same. The only difference is the the center piece in the steering wheel and it will swap out. JS.

If you want one of these Logos send me a PM

Andrew,

That complete piece you show just screws in from the back side with two screws. It is the same basic shape as the USDM with the Honda H in the middle. The reason I know this is that I got sent a complete steering wheel from Europe for the exact same piece. After I got it here I realized it is removable and interchanges. JS

This is mine

This oem. Best I could find for now.

Concours resto so this is oem.

It won't fit in one of these.

I can see your predicament. I can't actually recall if I used the EDM back plate or not. I had to swap the wheel because one of the metal arms inside was broken. I don't know if I even have a spare wheel kicking around to check and compare. JS

I swapped my JDM horn button on a US steering wheel with no problem. What I did was swap the metal piece from the USDM horn button to the JDM button; then the mounting bolt holes should line up. The only thing you should need is the rear trim piece just to make sure it is flush when looking head on. I am still looking for one of these trim pieces. With the steering wheel installed the mismatch doesn't look too bad, but would look better with the correct one.

While looking for something else in my garage I came across my USDM steering wheel and decided to do a comparison between it and the EDM version in my CRX. I was partially correct in my earlier comments but now that I have compared the units I have the complete answer. The basic steering wheel unit is identical. The front AND rear pieces for the horn surround are actually different. You need both front and back of the EDM unit for it to fit perfectly. But only these two pieces and not the complete steering wheel. This will make shipping much more economical. Here are some snaps that will make everything clear. JS

USDM front view

EDM front view

Steering wheel interior back side and the same on both units. You will see a weld on one side and a crack on the other on the steel and why I replaced this one.

Outsides of EDM on left and USDM on right. Here you can see the distinct shape difference.

Insides of EDM on left and USDM on right. Also note the shape difference on the metal insert.
