That's the thing. I want to keep the car FF. That's why I'd be mating the engine to a Legend transmission. Legends are FF, I'm pretty sure.

why don't you just use the NSX transaxle?

the NSX engine is mounted transversally (like the legend, CRX, integra, etc), and im sure the NSX's transaxle has gearing better suited to the engine.

Well my other couple of options included either an H22, or an engine out of a fiero. Go V6 power. But hey a rotary isn't a bad idea. They are pretty compact. I wouldn't mind mid/rear mounting an engine. That would be abit of fun. Oh yeah on a side note, are there any heads that would fit an 87 carbed prelude other than the stock head.

For example, Locally we have a guy who runs 11's in his 4G civic with a turbo/NOS B16 or LSVtec, I forget what motor exactly he has in it.

Its a similar setup to this:  (this is the guys friend, almost as fast)

Oh, and as far as Mahdavi Motorsports goes, they have a link to their CR-NS-X, here

Cheers,
Mark

with putting a 350 or 351 V8 in the sucker i dont know if the power to weight ratio would be any good, there would be two things happining, having the car be weighed down by this engine and sitting there and if it was moving it would never be to full potential or you would be driving a chariot nothing but a screaming outof contol engine with someone holding on to and no weight to keep the tires on the ground. why not keep the engine smaller like a FC3S turbo 2 engine rather than cram a hemi diesel in the poor rex.

i too, have been thinking V6. ive been considering using the drivetrain off a Nissan Pathfinder 4x4 i have lying around. my major problem is how to lengthen the engine bay. but thats still in planning stages...or i'll make a sandrail.

ford (eh) 2.3 turbo 4 cylinder. rear wheel drive. My friend has swapped a few of these motors in to several different cars Its a pretty good motor though, kinda heavy, but way lighter than a rotary. Rotarys are heavy as crap although you caould probably easily fit one under the hood of your car but it would be a rediculous driving car.
