I have a friend with a junked crx willing to give me certain parts I need but its off either an 86 or 87 crx. What I'm trying to get is the front and rear bumpers, the mirror and the piece between the tail lights.

Please let me know asap before they send the car to the junkyard!

All the parts will fit, but the 87 bumpers are a little bigger, so you need the covers and bumpers, and supports to get them to fit, and they have to be off a DX, because the Si bumpers will not match yours.

The mirror and tail center piece will fit.

sweet thanks! I'm for sure that its not an si model so I should be good. So your saying I not only need the covers, I need the metal supports on both front and rear bumpers correct?

I know that Honda increased the size of the bumpers for safety in 87, not sure if thats the same for the states, or DX models even.

But hey, if the guy is junking the car, and you can get whatever you need, then take it all and throw away the stuff you don't use (or sell it)

If in doubt, measure the depth of the bumper, and have your guy measure the depths of his bumpers, then you will know if you need the bumper support and bumper itself.

The heaver bumpers are about 2-4 inches deeper.

Cheers,
Mark
