How fast have you gone in your CRX on the street and what other cars have you raced and beat. Just curious.

Since my car is not yet insured and on the street the fastest I have ever gone in it is 80km/h down my back lane, in 2nd gear. biggrin.gif

I dont really support top speed runs on public roads, they are increadibly irresponsible and idiotic. However stoplight to stoplight racing to the speed limit if only a few over is perfectly fine with me smile.gif Ive run all too many civics, crx's, accords, and whatnot to count. Run lots of 4 banger gti's (8v's) and such. I dont know, I dont really keep count. The most fun races to me are the jackass business men in their new cars who drive like idiots, its always fun to race one of those hehehe, when they get beat they get PISSED biggrin.gif especially when its by a little 2 seater 91 hp car wink.gif

Top speed- maybe 85. The car isn't too unstable at freeway speeds, but I don't really want to take it much faster than I need to.

Kills- only one, and it was last night. Some retard with blue corner lights in a 92-5 Civic, and I slowly crept away from him (my 250lb passenger didn't help much). My D15A3 is on its last legs, burning a quart of oil every 500 miles, and the rusted-out muffler doesn't help much either. If I lost to a POS like my CRX, I'd probably go home and end myself cool.gif.

Sounds like you have a pretty fast CRX to beat all those cars.

On the way back from the meet on Saturday, heading towards the campsite, I followed the Montreal group cause I had no idea wheer I was going. I think they were mad that I was in the middle of their convoy, and they all began speeding and what seemed to be trying to lose me (although they may have just been going fast for the hell of it). I kept up just fine the whole time.. it was funny. I was the only first gen in the pack, and they never lost me.

Was no fun though, I hate going that fast, but I had no idea where I was... I think we hit 100 MPH a few times.

Boy, they are gonna be pissed when they see this red 87 si in their videos... haha

I don't really street race. I have a couple times. My fav kill was a newer Mustang... V-6 obviously (I'm all stock for the most part). Roll down window.. wait for them to catch up.. yell "HOW'S THAT FOR A HONDA!!!" smile.gif

Most satisfying kill was this dude in a dodge stratus or something that tried the ol' sneak past through the turn lane trick. Blew by him, then had to slow down to about 20 or so because we were going downhill into some MASSIVE fog. He was none too happy about tailing me then smile.gif
Fastest I've ever gotten was about 110 or 115 MPH on I80. I came close to beating that on the way up to N9 on the NY Thruway, but since I was getting damn tired I said "Ya know what? This MIGHT not be the time to do this" ph34r.gif My car also gets a little jittery at the uberhigh speeds, the suspension needs a little refurbishing.

I was bored one time and took my carbed 85 accord up to 115 on a long strech of wide highway with no cars on it and no intersecting roads, cement barriers on both sides. I think my crx would be able to handle that no problem, but Ive outgrown that and realized it wouldnt be worth the ticket/fine/insurance assrapage so I just save it for the track.

and about that kill list, I can believe most of those cars, but an 87 modded IROC? Youve gotta have one fast crx (unless you beat him on the twisties)

as for the new V6 stangs, my girls got one, 145 hp automatic. The cars got loads of torque compared to my crx, but back in the day when all I had was a pannel filter and she had a stock stang we raced, I pulled 1/2 a car legnth at first then she came back around 55 to lead by half a car legnth, then we hit the twisties and I owned like no ones business. biggrin.gif

Ive gone about 95 mph in my Civic Sedan! lol , not all that stable and would take a lot more time to get to 100 biggrin.gif - ive been 125 in my mothers Toyota Avalon ph34r.gif . Both were on a lonely Texas conutry road, no one for miles.
