I am looking for an engine performance kit for a 1984 Honda Civic 1500 S. Pistons, rings, cam. Things of this nature. A website would be helpful.

There was a thread about this not too long ago but here is what I posted.... Search is your friend.. wink.gif

Cams: Web Cams Gude Performance

Pistons: You can use Acura Integra pistons with an over bore to get a higher compression and displacement. Or you have to go get some custom made from someone like Arias, Ross, or JE. OPM Autosports sells the pistons as well as alot more stuff but you can get some from the boneyard or on EBAY for way less..

Rebuild kit: Honda.. wink.gif Your local autoparts store should be able to get you an aftermarket kit like one from Felpro..

Good luck. I believe the only company that made a "KIT" is Mugen (no longer in production). You will have to piece it together, check out the FAQ for a listing of companies that make parts. biggrin.gif

Jackson Racing had 2 "kits" for the carbed cars. One had a header, cam, and Weber downdraft carb, the other had a header, hotter cam, and dual sidedrafts, IIRC, which I probably don't. I have the catalog at home... They had dynos for the results and everything. Man I miss those days...

There were a few more places, but I can't think of any right now.

To get some go, for starters:

http://www.piercemanifolds.com for dual weber dcoe setup
http://www.deltacam.com or Colt for a regrind cam
http://www.summitracing.com for Hedman/Chikara 4-2-1 header

Then go to your local hotrod custom exhaust shop and have a 2 inch mandrel bent system bent up for ya with a Dynomax Super Turbo muffler.

One was the 121 Kit with cam, header, sport muffler, and dual Mikuni's.. The other ws the 97 Kit with the same as the 121 kit but without the carbs.. Jackson Racing also used to sell a 4-1 header along with a Flowmaster exhaust system... Those were the days... rolleyes.gif

I already have the carb i am going to use. I got the air intake today. All I am looking for is the internals.

Oh yeah and by the way putting bigger pistons in doesn't do diddly if you don't change out the valves and cam. You still have the same horsepower, except now you paid money to get it bored out.

There's no replacement for displacement... also, when stuffing the 'Teg slugs in you dramatically increase the compression ratio.. hence more power...

Danny's right the there are guys on here running Integra piston that yield 10-11:1 compression which will give you a jump in whp even with out a cam. Though a cam and port n' poilish couldn't hurt. cool.gif

i'm sure you could piece together a kit but what are the specs on the cams and carbs? IE: which mikuni's were used and what are the lobes of the cams?
