On the DOT! If you want to get with us after 5:30 eastern time, you'll have to lead foot it to catch up. We're not getting screwed again this year!

Hey, if I end up going maybe I can meet up with you guys
http://www.mapquest....-0407a-400c252c Couldn't get the picture to just show up with the IMG command... Oh well...
Next to the #1 (well, 40 miles West) is my home town. It is named Springfield. Guess what is really close to stop #2? Haha! Yup, another Springfield, which if I am not mistaken is home to the Simpsons, not mine
Total estimated trip distance : 4890.65
Total estimated trip driving time (assuming I drive the limit, which I won't ) : 87 hours, 1 minute
According to my calculations, if I go 80 mph all the way there... I can make it in 60 hours! Let's see. A lot of that is nowhere land, so I can easily go 90-100 for about 40% of the trip. That is 1956.26 miles. I can do that in about 20 to 24 hours I think. 36 to 40 hours for the other 60% of the trip. So I could make it in about 60 hours -- no problem! Good thing my cousin has a ton of CD's...

The turkey damage was cleaned up 2 weeks after it happened. Isn't that how it goes, you save up for something and when you are really close something else comes up.

And then you are more than welcome to crash at my place. I will even try and set-up an oil change station in my parking lot.

Yeah, I'm the crazy guy that is likely coming from Cali. I have some family in Springfield/Lamar, CO that I might pick up or stay with. That's right around 40 miles from the Kansas/Colorado/Oklahoma border.
Just checked a map, it's only six hours or so from my hometown to Topeka... I could probably get all the way to Topeka in 36 hours (I'm the only one driving that knows how to drive stick). Me and my cousin drove from Springfield, CO to San Diego, CA in 20 hours last summer, but that was an automatic pick-up with alternating drivers.
2563.2 miles from my house to Detroit. I'm guessing I'll average about 75 mph. Thats 34.174 hours. If I break that up into three days of 11 or 12 hours, then it is no problem. I could go most of the way to CO, and then stay the night somewhere. The next day I would go through CO to pick up my cousin if he can go, then to KA, and then stay there over night. In the morning we could head out if that would work for you. If you would want to take more time to get there, that is fine also.
