ok from my understanding a hydra swap is when you put a teg in a civic but what about swaping just the head? cant find much info at least nothin about doing this with the d15a2(ew1 as some say. my block is stamped d15a2 so imma call it that) so i was looking into putting a d16a1 head onto a d15a2 block. opinions? will this work? what do you have to do to get the head to fit and function on the block? i need answers FAST while pull-a-part still has the 1g teg on the lot and before its completely parted and no i cant just get the whole motor i can only afford a head(if i bought the motor i would have to rebuild it its a must before id swap any motor into any car). my car is dead, valves are shot including those DUMBASS cvcc aux valves and i need this car running quick. i cant find aux valve holders or the seats for the other valves. my only other option is blocking off the cvcc ports, rounding off the aux rockers(or find adiquite spacers to go in their place), and switch to a 2 barrel carb, but even at that i still have to find the seats for the intakes and exhausts. 

 

oh and random q for when i can afford an entire motor swap; all the 1g tegs have the same stuf right? honda didnt make any minor bull shit changes to the d16a1 to give swapers head aches?

 

 

 

 

 

SHOULDA BOUGHT THE F&&KIN' 88

so... ive been tryin to find a 1g teggy for the longest time to swap into my civic sedan. so i go to pull apart about a week ago to try to find a new thermostat housing for my car and bam! right there in the front of the lot is an 87 teggy with a brown top. not only that but it had a sticker on it saying its a running vehicle ALSO it hadnt become victim to all the mexicans yet. (not being racist its just true, thats who is usually at the pull apart near me haha as soon as a honda comes in youve got about 1 day before its stripped lol older hondas are heavily favored by the latino group around here) the only thing takin off the car was the rotors. now pull apart sells a whole motor for 150 buck and the wiring harness it like 30 and the transaxels are around 100 bucks too and here is the bs part.... i was broke as f&&& haha so hopefully ill get lucky and find the motor and everything ill need for no more than 500 bucks( its gotta be cheap because im ganna do a full rebuild before it goes in the civic im even ganna throw a turbo on there so its easy to see why i need the motor n sh** cheap lol) and maybe ill get even luckier and beable to snag the ZC! haha wishin too hard i know

my 87 civic sedan burnt its valves and i cant find a valve replacement set for it anywhere. i can find plenty for non cvcc models  but this one is tricky please help i need this car to get to work i cant afford to keep givin people gas n S*&t. so if anyone has some or knows where to buy them please help. takin it to a garage is not and option(even though they manage to pull parts out their ass's) cuz everywhere i checked wanted 800 to replace a head gasket(back when i needed a gasket, i just did it my self, them schisty mofos) i dont even want to know how much it would be for a valve job ya'mean? 

ive tried all kinds of degreasers i even used them along with the local car wash pressure washer and i still cant get the grease and brake dust off. anyone know of a way to get that tough sh%t off? theyre aluminum rims so i need to be careful. i believe they arent clear coated either

ok so i can get the whole car for 200 bucks the motor is good just need new oilpan seal and a new distributor. the guy selling it got in a wreck and and it messed the car up(he only paid 200 for it and to repair it would be more so he was going to junk it.) the battery got pushed into the dizzy and broke the plug conectors off everything is fine except the radiator which i dont care haha. but i think it a pretty decent deal cause ill be able to get the motor ecu motor mounts transmission axels ect... its a 95 mirage LS and dont flame me!!! but i was thinkin about gettin it to swap into my civic. the engine code is 4G93 yeah yeah ''but its not ganna be a true honda dur da durpity derrr :PPPP'' (some people are purists) it'll do till i can get a good motor its got a decent amount of hp for what imlooking for right now(until i can get a better motor preferable an acura motor to build and turbo hehe ) only thing keepin me from gettin it RIGHT NOW is i got to get an engine crane or find a forklift haha i think one of my old friends has one but id have to check to see if he still has it. i bought the rims off this mirage im thinkin of gettin and they look great!! love the rims they aint lows but there still nice! need to find some honda logos to go in the centers(my have to get something custom not to worried i popped the mitsubishi logos out of them so it would be weird haha) http://s1292.beta.ph...e64846.jpg.html
