i recently bought a twm manifold as the first step in making by 89 d16a1 run dual webers. then i ran in to a problem. without going to a distributorless ignition system, how can i make this work with an electronic advance distributor?

best bet is to either get a 86-87 head or modify yours to work with the 86-87 dizzy. someone on here has done the 2nd on i think

If you can switch to the Vacume advace distributor then your problems should be solved.

My TWM maifold has 2 vacume outlets on the top of 2 of the runners, one goes to the booster and one goes to the vac advance if the stock distributor is in but itn this picture its capped with a yellow cap

Just use the stock dist. The only wires you need going to/from it are the black and blue wires. Just give it a shed load of initial advance and go.

That is what i planned for the Z6 head. Use that electronic distributer with only the coil leads and run it like a distributer with locked timing for a carb setup.(Or use the TDC wire to a MSD6a .)
