I have an 87 crx si with CAI and about 200lb weght reduction, i also have some falken tires, dont know the specs but they have a pretty good grip and theyre brand new.

What i want to know is, will i be able to beat a 98 dodge neon r/t that only has a CAI?
Engine Specs of the neon: 150hp, 133lb torque, 1996cc

if he is a good driver sorry to say he should win...the r/t is supposed to, and ive seen done, a mid or better 15 second run stock..but you never know until you try ..and keep us posted if that race happens..

I'm sure jeff could accomodate both the camera and the Neon with the R/T stickers. Its his baby, its all he can talk about. laugh.gif The neon not the camera.

The entire tool selection at Sears or the contents of a Snap-On truck will do you no good if you do not know how to use them.

If he's done any weight reduction like if the sneaky bitch removed his passenger seat and back seat, you are ganked. I ran into a guy @ PIR who was running low 15's in a 2.0liter neon gutted weighed like 2300lbs with him in it and gas, he just had CAI and exhaust. I'd get RT on him and 60ft, but he'd pull away shortly after 1st gear. Cool guy though, those cars seem to be pretty damn OE Swappable like the 2.4 head fits on the 2.0 block, makes it a pretty mean combo I guess.

I had a CAI, no cat, straight pipe through existing exhaust and muffler, and removed my passenger seat before running @ PIR 1/2 tank of gas, lowered my tire pressure to 28psi fronts ran a best of 16.62 @ 83MPH, couldn't launch for shit in this little car. I calculated a ~16.2 if I could get my 60ft down... So the R/T will still prolly win if he can drive, I googled a (15.5 - 16.1) 1320 time for that car. Like stated if he sucks... you could prolly take him, just get him off the dig hard and make him your bitch, you can do it =D

Actually I drag raced a Noen RT several times at 75/80 years ago. I actually have a blown up pic of my car vs. the R hanging up above my computer. With my ZC installed and crappy 175-70-13 BFG tires, and him using high performance tires up front it was very very close. I don't know what engine work he had done, but I won a few passes, he won a few. All very, very close.I run mid 15's.

WEll, i've seen an all stock neon (with the 1.9L SOHC motor) run a 16 flat

it comes down to the driver, i ran a 16.252 in my 87 si rex.

15 flat in my carbed beast.
I have nothing...
