I honestly think that there is too much red surrounding the wheels

I think either the red stripe needs to go or the Red Nuts

But thats just my opinion tongue.gif

Your opinion is much closer to that I have in my mind.

I also read your other opinion guys. I’m still thinking about it, till the end of this week I will act.
Will see....

Little more news from me…

I finally installed a set of race spec front struts. It’s not very hard but as our streets here are patched all over, the car gets bam bam.
Still waiting for my street type struts so, I will get these race replaced.

As for the red stripe over the wheels, now it’s gone.
It really looks better, like 1inch bigger wheels.
I will post some pics as soon as I will put back me rear bumper….I had a small accident (not my false).

By the meanwhile, I got into my garage the engine swap.
D16A6 crx 90’. It’s the whole car, crashed.
For first some mods will be, a set of new spark plug wires, and a 4-2-1 stainless header.

Here is the swap

Hope I will have it running, till the end of this month.

You guys keep saying "red nuts" hahahaha

I like the car looks good.. You have coilovers with stock springs? I would say order some 2.5" diameter springs from eibach H&R etc.. or something..

The rear sprigs are stock. I must replace them with something better. Where can I buy from US??
Still searching for a rear sway bar....

Also, about the engine swap which I’m going to do, does anyone know what’s about the wiring? Is it a big problem? Any mod list or tips, would be helpful.

hi guys, back to car action so......

the engine swap was done past month, took ~ 2 weeks to be completed.
It was not a straight bolt on, needed a lot of work, custom parts mainly for the mounts.

Here are some pics of the progress & the custom mounts.

This is how it stands, much better than that I had expected with all these custom mounts

Next step, the engine gone out to have the mounts fixed , painted. The axles where also modded to suit at the length , as much as for the shiftlinkage.
Also, I had bought the Energy Suspension kit, but half of the parts where putted for now. Rest parts later.
The condition of the engine is very good, no smokes, no problems from the first start.
My first impression when I drove the car, was like WTF? Difference is like Day and Night. No need to shift down to get a pass on the roads.
Some of the first parts I done to the engine, except of the full service, was the Vision performance spark plugs wires and the air intake kit. Also, I'm running with a obd0 pw crx vtec ecu. Seems to run better that the stock ecu, but i will have it chipped soon.
Little things left to do is to make a mod at the engine mount or damper, so I can remove the slightly bounce and attach into the chassis.
As for the mods, rather that the ecu programm, a fuel pressure regulator will be installed soon and the air intake will be modded for a better breathing. Wanted to bolt a 4-2-1 header but it's a whole process to put it , as the engine is a lot closer to the front panel. Will see....

Long time, missed that forum....
So, tried several times to find a way to ship some parts to US , but not possible as the one and only reasonable way, is the airport service which is far from my place.
Maybe can be shipped from a friend of mine which is able to do that.
The first pm’s I received about my used parts from the engine and tranny (mugen lsd), I will let you know guys when I will know for sure.

Now…more updates into the car but very slow….
Engine till now is great, pulls hard no smokes, no burning oil. Very nice.
Little mods was the custom ram air funnel that goes throw the front bumper hole and ends into the engine bay under the air filter. Works great! I will post some pics soon. Delivers more air and better temps.

Also, the most important is the wheels, which are now sold and the front end which is undressed from the carbon vinyl and the hood now is oem and the nose panel is painted mat.
As for the wheels, I have already ordered a set of Dezent 15”x6,5 white, told me about ~6.7kg. I expect them from next week.

Next week hope to have my new rear springs, so I can make the back a little more stiffy. Searched a rear sway bar, but nothing found and I want to have it shipped to Greece only with USPS so I can save some custom charge fees.

Best mod of the month was the engine damper kit. I had a problem with the movement of the engine at hard start and in full throttle gear changes. The damper kit was from a Nissan SX , little modded by me at the 2 points that hold it. The one at the engine mount and the other at the strut plate. Works great! I never thought that it will help me, I believe the movement of the engine is decreased at 50-60%. Now left the tranny mount which will also be hardened, like the other engine mount.

More updates coming next week (hope that)

You painted the hood? Just wondering why did you choose not to paint the header panel?

And what are those screws that you used to bolt it down?
