***Updates on pages 4 and 7***

The weather finally cleared up today here in Seattle, so I quickly ran out and took some pics of my winter project.

They will be going away SOON (along with the front bumper)!

Kakabox hooked me up with some brand new 15" Bridgestone Potenza SO3's. Now I just need to pick up a set of wheels to mount them on.

I also added aluminum strips to support my delicate fenders.

...add on top, or fasten to the fenders?

By the way, my car would never have made it this far to completion without the help from my friends here on RPR. In a way everyone who bought, sold or traded parts with me helped put this car together.

Thanks Guys!!!

The car is not finished yet (they never are), I still need to reupholster the interior, then start working on the exterior. Since I'm a professional upholsterer, I'll start a "how to" thread on this subject.

They are resting on top of the fender bolt strip. I used 1/16" thick, 1" aluminum L channel from Home Depot then cut about 3/4" off of one side and ended up with a 1"X 1/4" L. This 1/4" lip gives a nice finished edge and covers the missing pieces around the bolt holes on the fenders. I then marked the holes for the bolts, added a little adhesive to the underside of the aluminum, then bolted them down with new rubber washers and stainless button head bolts.

That's what I was thinking of doing, and I bought the 3/4", not the 1". I'll try the bigger stuff, thanks!

I found 1" to be the perfect width. I can take some more detailed pics if you need them.

that is one clean clean first gen. with that bumper those wheels suit (even though they prolly rub a little)

there wouldnt be any flaming from me if you left the exterior the way it is.

Actually, the wheels don't rub at all. The suspension is stiff enough to eliminate alot of body roll and the rear wheel wells have been rolled.
