So I'd like to share my new (to me) CRX.  Its not in great shape but has some goodies that make it incredible.  I've not had a huge amount of time to "tinker" with the car yet but I'm pretty sure the body kit is a genuine Mugen.  As are the CF-48's.  I'd like some information about the steering wheel if anyone has any.  My short term plans are to rebuild the extra EW3 engine that came with the car and install it to replace the badly knocking engine under the hood currently.  Long term I'm considering a B18B1 non-vtec with a strong bottom end for reliability and possibly boost later on.  Anywho, the name of the thread is fitting because this is my 1st project car and will be on the back burner while I'm purchasing a new home and going to school.  If anyone has thoughts or comments for me please voice them!  And now the pics!

That's an awesome find. You need to restore this car. Parts and experience are available here. Looking forward to seeing some progress.

Wow. what a find. The steering wheel looks like a mugen unit but might have been rewrapped. the seats are from a prelude.

the car also has some nice factory options like the center console, EQ, rear red reflective panel.

If your interested you can visit this this guys site for bumper covers

Pretty sure this means real Mugen stuff!

Should be able to find someone skilled with fiberglass to repair the bumper? I know its missing a lot!

I'm sure you can. Between what you have and pics, they may be able to repair it. I would suggest before removing any decals to either source some replicas or get with a vinyl shop to copy what you have and make you a set.

holy shit!! that's an amazing find!! legit steering wheel, just needs an actual re-wrap, not a backyard sponge wrap...

Wow, that is a very nice find. From what I can see in the pictures, the rear bumper can be repaired, but the front... thats another story. That would cost a lot to fix. You would probably be better off getting a housman mugen replica front bumper and a mugen replica header panel while your at it. Theres just too much missing from the front bumper, and the cost to have someone fabricate it back to life would be much higher than purchasing a new replica. Good luck with the restoration, looks like a very nice project =)

Wonder if you can get a Houseman nose and splice the missing parts onto yours.
