dgjtex and humdeth,
Welcome to the club and yes, please send more pix.
Slim mentioned that 81 was brother to his 82. The owner of my 10 told me there were always 5 in the shop over the month or so he was visiting watching his baby progress back in "84. So I'd guess you could open your brotherhood maybe plus or minus 2 or 3. So I fugure 7,8,9,11,12,13 could have very well been in the shop when mine was there. The owner has pix from the teardown and build but has not found them for me yet. I call him from time to time to get updates.
Djgtex,
Just dawned on me that BP looked at 1081 and it sold earlier this year for $800 - blown head, worn top, cracked plastics, but solid metal body, from original owner, non accident?? that was awesome. So DGJtex, I assume that was you who got it?? I looked back at a post a few weeks ago for 1081 selling on Craigs for $3500?? So whats that story?? I hope you have it. That makes three straman's here in Dallas.
Just so you know, Djtex is the one that bought the Straman for $800ish and is now selling it for $3500. I wish him luck, but we will see if he finds a buyer.
I was the one that stumbled onto humdeth's single post from late last year and asked him to update me on the car's ST# and other info. I hope he replies to me or this thread with his Straman's info so we can add his car to the registry.
